We're all deflated after two winnable games that we lost. Blown opportunities and defensive collapses did us in again. It's understandable to have no hope at this point.

Right now it looks like we are battleing the Giants for that last playoff spot. Most are assuming a loss at New Orleans. The consensus is that 10 wins gets us in. The Giants need one more loss to guarantee that they get no more than 9 wins.

They are at Washington next Monday night. That team is playing much better than anyone thought it could. The Giants D has been giving up around 30 a game for a while. This looks like a tough game for a team that has lost 6 of its last 8 with such defensive issues.

The next week the Giants have a home game against Carolina which is very winnable for NY.

Then they have the Vikings who would probably kill them if they played their starters, but they probably won't.

Of course WE need to take care of our own business and beat Washington and Philly again (easier said than done), but next week is time to root for the Skins real hard. Blowing both of those games the the Giants put us in this spot and now we could use a little help. So for next week, as difficult as it might be for many of us to say.......
"GO Commanders!"

So we still have a chance at the playoffs even with a loss to New Orleans because we're about to get rocked Saturday Night.

And if we don't get rocked we'll just committ enough penalties to lose late in the game.

You forgot about Greenbay !

GB is getting the other spot. It comes down to the other stuff he broke down in the thread that I don't have the energy to repeat.

Just stop with the talk, our season died in NY. I said it than i said it now. Doesnt matter what you do, all teams play for the lombardy, The Saints and Colts are the two teams looking to take it. San Diego might be there, other than that, who ever is shuffled in on the NFC side will be there because someone has to be, not that they earned it.

Regular season success doesn't mean you'll have post season success.

As good as the Saints and Colts are they will still be 1 game away from being knocked out of the hunt.

Nobody cares about moral victories when it comes to getting that trophy. You get it how ever you can get it.

If I had to pick the 2 teams that I think will be in the Superbowl as of today i'd go with the Chargers and Vikings.

But last year about this time the Giants and Titans were supposed to play in the Superbowl.

Im not trying to inspire hope or anything about this Cowboys team because I think they quit on the season and we'll get rocked Saturday Night.

You stop the talk. Your season died in NY. Some of us haven't given up (and won't until the end).

we lost that battle to the NYG twice this year already. it's the reason NY will back into the playoffs, perhaps with only 8 wins.

GB is a lock for 1st wildcard. Philly locked up the division (and will humiliate us yet again on the final weekend)

TWO more games with Wade. Hopefullly only TWO more games with Jason too!

Have fun with that but i've been down that road to many times and I got a 44 to 6 beat down handed to me for all of my troubles.

I always try to call it like I see it so don't think im some guy on here who tries to be negative. I give props when they deserve it and im giving them the heat when they deserve it.

Even when times are tough I look for a sign of hope and the signs just aren't there.

Exactly, I havent seen anything from this defense as a unit, the pressure isnt there, some players are not standing up, and some are regressing again.

I see no coach that I would HAVE to keep, and I see no reason to keep these guys on the sidelines. I have seen a good Oline turn bad, due to one injury, two years in a row now, and I have seen other teams back up players step up for their team and not mine.

I am sorry, the game to take was NY and everything was primed and ready to go and we blew it plain and simple. Even when fate went our way, we said "screw it we dont want it" i am sorry I cant be rainbows and lollipops when the team doesnt want it.

If it were me i'd be tired of looking at the same crap thats been out there and I would try something different.

I might look at starting Bowen. Nothing against spears but lets do something different.

I'd try to get Ogletree in the game as the 3rd receiver. Why not?

Let Choice and Felix carry us for 3 quarters. Might as well.

You can't keep trotting the same stuff out there and hope for change. Just do something and hope for the best because at this point our same ol same ol isn't going to get us over the edge.

Try something! Open up your play book. Throw it deep 1 time this season. Go down swinging please.

In my eyes, the season is over, so lets find out what we have, trot McGee out there, apologize to Ware, Davis, Witten and Kitna. Throw Ogletree and any player that wants a chance to play, and I'd even pull up some on the PS.

You are playing to lose so go out seeing what you have for the next regime. A lot of eyes are on Dallas now because they know that position is up for grabs and someone is going to want the big stage.

3 more games -

I hope that it comes down to a must win against Philly.

You lost me there.

Romo is still the QB of this team and he is far from the reason we are losing games.

Plus McGee doesn't need to see playing time for at least 2 years. The way he was used in College really stunted his development.

The Giants games this year are going to be our downfall. If we don't beat the Saints the Giants are going to get the last Wild Card at 9-7 not us. Really annoying, but it's going to happen if we don't find a way to beat the Saints which isn't likely.

The fanatical crazy football day game fan in me agrees. I want it to be that way. I have said that all along this year. No cruising. Take it to last game and make it count. "win and you are in"

The problem is: reality is not being nice to us.

Go Cowboys!!

Yea, but the only reason i said that is so the next person can see what he has, if we go with someone who is really good with QB's he is going to have to make a big decision. Romo is not the reason we are losing, but is he the QB for the next coach. What if the next guy wants to bring in or draft a QB that he wants long term and young enough to work with?

the QB is the major position on any football team.

The only thing you will find out about McGee is that he will throw a lot of picks, he is mobile, and he can hand the ball off.

Hes just wayyyyy to raw.
