But during the pre game, (I think it was Horton) interviewed Emmitt and he said something I didn't quite understand.

He said something like "We've got the goat, Emmitt smith."

The Goat? Is that one of Emmitt's nick names or something? I have never heard that before.

I have never heard it attached to football.......I have always seen it associated with basketball........

The playground legend the Goat, MJ, Kareen, Wilt, Russell, the Big O....all have been called the GOAT at one time or another.

A lot of times, people use the term in jest to mock the lack of GOATness of a baller.
