With all the recent hype around Golden I thought I would do a mock with him in round 1. Couldn’t see taking him at 12 so made two trade backs.

Traded 12 and 76 to Indy for 14 and 45. Then traded 14 to TB for 19 and 53.

19. Matthew Golden - WR Texas
44. Kenneth Grant - DT Michigan
45. Donovan Jackson -OG Ohio St
53. Treveyon Henderson - RB Ohio St.
149. Demetrius Knight - LB South Carolina
171. Nohl Williams - CB Cal
174. Kyle McCord - QB Syracuse
204. Jaydon Blue - RB Texas
211. Luke Lachey - TE Iowa
239. Shilo Sanders - S Colorado
247. Collin Oliver - LB Ok St.

With our depth at corner right now, I'd prefer getting one before pick 171. Swap out your pick 45 player with a CB and take your OL at 171 and I could go for that.

Don't see Grant being available at 44, but you never know.

1 WR Golden
2 RB Henderson

Henderson surpassed 1,000 scrimmage yards in three of his four collegiate seasons. As a freshman, he had 19 touchdowns. Last season he helped Ohio State win a National Championship with a 1,300 scrimmage yard season and 11 touchdowns. Henderson could instantly make an impact for the Cowboys on the ground and in the passing game.

Henderson had 77 catches in college. He posted 853 receiving yards and six touchdowns. An explosive running back should be one of the Cowboys' priorities in this draft. An elite game could work wonders for Dak Prescott. The Cowboys' best seasons under Prescott have come with an elite ground game, like his rookie season.

Henderson ran a 4.43-second 40-yard dash and recorded a 38.5" vertical jump. His 92 Athleticism Score was the best among running backs at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis. Finding a player like Henderson on day two of the draft could be key for the Cowboys as they look to make the playoffs after missing out last season.

I’d take that haul.

Some good players, I actually took McCord this morning in a mock draft. A little trade happy I usually try to limit mine to one trade maximum. Golden, Grant, and Jackson would be solid. Henderson has some juice and I guess Javonte Williams could be the thunder but a big back later might be a better compliment to him then Blue. Williams is a ball hawk and Eberflus likes turnovers. Knight would be a steal at 149. I think you could do better with the last three picks, they look like UDFAs to me.

Good haul

Been saying for a while that IMO, unless someone unexpected like Graham is there at 12, best option is to trade down to 19-20 for a rd 2 pick

Then take Golden at 19/20 and DT, RB, CB with the 3 day 2 picks
