After seeing that NFL DRAFT BLITZ mock draft where they have us taking a L.B. with our #22 pick made me laugh so hard it took me about 20 minutes to stop laughign at how CLUELESS and HORRIBLE most sites are, but people don't do research and weed out the bad ones.
I have!
If I see something so ******** like us taking a L.B. with our #22 pick, I immediately put them on my HORRIBLE sites that I will NEVER go back too EVER because if they're so CLUELESS and so HORRIBLY off on our pick, how can I or anyone ever trust anythign they say about draftees or other teams needs, etc. if they're that far out of whack to have us selecting a L.B. in round 1, they might as well have us trading up for a T.E. in round 1, cause that's how ******** picking a L.B. in the ENTIRE DRAFT when we are only gonna keep 4 and already have 5 with Ayodelle probably the odd man out, but selecting an I.L.B. in the ENTIRE DRAFT would be a strectch, but to say we'll take one with pick #22, in round ONE?

So I made a list so far and weeded out the bad ones, and sure enough, NFL draftcountdown was the 1st I put on the list when I looked back at my own list of which sites were good and which ones I'd never use again because they're so bad!
OK, here's the BAD in no specific order, sites you should NEVER reference and NEVER go to EVER to learn about the draft or draftees!

Nfldraftblitz
Sportznutz
huddlegeeks
fftoolbox
draftboardinsider
draftseason
draftstudio
draftdaddy

Here's some good ones that I havent' found anything out of whack yet!

nfldraftcountdown
about.com
nfldraftscout
draftace
draftinsiders

If anyone has other good ones or bad ones they want me to check out let me know!
If you need a reason on why I think the bad ones are bad, just let me know which ones and I'll glady show you some GLARING ridiculous mistakes no site should ever make!
Some are OBVIOUS, like having Mike Jenkins rated as a 3rd rounder, or somethign along those lines that are just so obviously bad it's amazign the people who own the site waste their time being so clueless!

Thanks for doing the research.

If I may ask a question, how does Kipper's stuff rank out. Is it worth it to buy his "inside info" he peddles?

you may be right, but for 1, there are several guys who take turn doing mock drafts for that site. for the most part every other guy there has given us some combination of RB, WR and CB with the first 2 picks. Occasionally they would give us an OT, but after Flo resigned, they stopped.

As far as going there to learn about the draft, you can still do that, but just don't pay attention to the mock drafts. I would only use it for player rankings or finding out about a guy I have seen very little of.

Personally I don't put much faith in that site cause they still list Brian Brohm over Matt Ryan and has even gone on to say, we're not buying the hype

In the past, Kiper's final Mock before the draft turn out pretty well.

I'll never forget Scott Wright (NFL Draft Countdown) kept in his mock that we would take Mason Crosby in the 2nd or 3rd round. Even after Cowboys fans gave him heck week after week, he ignored it and stuck by that.

For that alone, I usually ignore his mock drafts. He's got a good, active message board that makes up for it, though.

I'd rather look at the past performance of draft predictions of the draft website rather than an a posters opinion of a site. That tells me all I need to know.

Wow, with all that venom for some complete strangers who created an imaginary list of draft picks in early March, I'd hate to see how you respond to someone who actually does something bad to you personally.

I also love the annual mantra from all fans that "we should always draft the best player available because that's what good teams do." Then, when a mock draft shows up that doesn't show Dallas picking a player based on need, the author is deemed clinically insane.

I've come to check Draftek almost daily, I consider it the least subjective.

Kipers top 25 he puts out for free gives you a good gauge, but he PURPOSELY puts players in there just "because" so it looks like he's doing his work!
I mean after the seasons over and prior to the combines he's switching it up, but how can that be since he should of done his homework and watched film and if nothing has happened in terms of more film or the combines, why should he move a guy up or down?
So to me Kipers top 25 is good to keep looking at just to get an early idea, but I wouldn't pay for ANY site about the draft since some free ones like I've mentioned to a better job IMO and you can learn just as much about the players by reading ujp on them from the 4 or 5 good sites out there to know who the players are and where their strength and non strengths lie.
Kiper's MOCKS prior to the draft are a JOKE and some of them just make you laugh!

But if they're SO CLUELESS about the mocks, that would tell me I can't trust their player rankings and tells me they really dont' have a clue about anything or any player, so why would anyone read up abou players if you're gonna get FALSE or BAD information???????

I would only use it for player rankings or finding out about a guy I have seen very little of.

But why use it AT ALL if they're so bad?
If they are SO OFF on player rankings, you could go to their site and look up a guy you dont' know about and would have to take their word for it, but if their word is WRONG, then your entire assessment on that player would be wrong.

Personally I don't put much faith in that site cause they still list Brian Brohm over Matt Ryan and has even gone on to say, we're not buying the hype

LOL, you just get done saying the site ain'tIf bad then go on to say you don't put much faith in it???

Point is if they have GLARING mistakes, then you can't EVER trust them to be right on ANYTHING, and thus your gettingMISLEADING information probably about a player, then when you go to talk about him on why you like him in a certain round your gonna come off looking like a fool, just look at poster DABOYS4LIFE in the draft section, he's so far off on players yet he seems to think he knows what he's talkin about PROBABLY because he went to a bad site and trusted them.
I mean I've seen PLENTY of site that have updated their site as of TWO DAYS AGO that have C.B. Jake Ikegwounu getting drafted in round 2, in case you didn't know he IS or would of been a top prospect, late 1st early 2nd, but has had injuries, his latest which is gonna make him miss the ENTIRE 08' season which means NO TEAM will be selecting him prior to round 5 and most likely not til round 6 or 7, yet they have him as a 2nd rounder BECAUSE they still don't know about the injury, and that's COMMON SENSE 101 and what any run of the mill draftnik like myself knows without doing it full time or trying to act like a professional scoutand put up a draft site, they should EASILY know that and when they don't you really have to question the intelligence of the people running the site.

I think you miss the point when we say we want the best player available.
It means TO A POINT, meaning we need R.B./W.R./C.B./D.E., possibly safety, possibly guard to eventually replace Kosier, etc., so we pick the best avilable at one of THOSE positions.
It means pick the BEST AVAILABLE PLAYER at one of the positions of need.
Cause it would be pretty stupid to just think when we say draft the best available player and then go out and draft and I.L.B. in round 1 or how about drafting a T.E. in round 1, or why not go Q.B. in round 1?
So you see, when we say BAA, we mean to a point, and when someone does a mock and has us selecting a T.E. or a Q.B. in round 1, then that site is ******** and CLUELESS and YES we can then deem the author as CLINICALLY INSANE if he has us taking a T.E. in round 1 or a Q.B. in round 1, cause he's have to be INSANE do think that!

Isn't Goose Goslin pretty good at mocks?

He's not just good he's the BEST!
Get his MOCK draft the night befor the draft and you'll have the most accurate mock draft on planet earth cause he'sgot such great inside info on where and who every team is gonna pick.
Year in and year out he's tops on mock drafts on accuracy.

Wow, way to waste everyone's time reading this stupid comment of yours!
this coming from a guy who only posts one sentence in all his posts and has yet to contribute anything other than stupidity and has yet to make up an original post with any original ideas.
Congrats, you are officially a waste of space on this site!

You can't judge a draft site based on how they come up with mock drafts. Mock drafts are poor indicators of how someone evaluates players. They're a fun exercise....but the draft is so unpredictable.

This is why so many want to discredit Mel Kiper. They only look at his mock drafts and call him a hack. Mock drafts aren't his thing, Kiper is very good at evaluating players. He even says that mocks aren't his bag.

Now, I'll agree with draftblitz....they used to be the best site....but since they went to a pay site, they've gone downhill.

Same with TFY......
