The Good, the Bad & the Ugly... Bill Parcells

There is no doubt that Bill Parcells is head and shoulders above many other coaches but... what is really going on here?

THE GOOD

1. Bill has improved us some. Agreed. But where are we going?

THE BAD

1. No future QB in site. Bledsoe is limited.
2. WR is a big question mark. No youth. Crayton maybe.
3. O-Line is just pathetic.
4. BP may or may not stay.
5. If he does... it could be a big "so what"?
6. We are limited yes. But BP limits us more. PLaying to not lose instead of play to win. Players know that... that is why you heard about Drew and other players wanting to open it up more. BP's response, "no one has asked for coaches whistle"

THE UGLY

1. I fear that BP may just be giving "IT" to Jerry Jones. Remember when he was an analyst for ESPN he talked about Jerry being a meddling owner and then BAM he is the coach and "well its different now"
2. I mean when do we see some light? 3 year and one playoff appearance and one and done when we got there.
3. I never liked BP's coaching style. I knew it was boring and was limited. SO WHAT he won 2 SB's with Giants. HE almost cost them the 2nd one. Bills were lined up to sink BP with FG. Bill got lucky.
4. Then comes New England Super Bowl. His special teams was ready and b/s playcalling lost them that SB.

Things have come full circle for Bill.

Wins first SuperBowl
Almost loses second Superbowl
Loses third Superbowl.
Loses AFC championship game
Cowboys to playoffs in first year - one and done.
Cowboys not back to playoffs since.

I dont see it getting better with his 'tude and conservatism and just being BP. Other lesser, younger, smarter coaches are outcoaching him. Even old man Gibbs.

Just imagine if Belichek wins it again with BP and without his assistants this year. Oh boy!

You know...when you make a good, bad and ugly thread/post.

It is hard to take you serious, even if your bad and ugly points have merit....when you only have one line in the good part. One could argue that your bias in that post takes away from any credibility the other part of your post contains.

Just something to think about.

Do you guys remember the Oline when BP got here, How QC and Chad were running for their lives at the snap of the ball.

Do you remember what BP did with that same line the following year?

We were able to pick up the blitz.

LA got into shape.

Our Oline does stink, but if FA is healthy and Rogers is not a wuss we might have had something there. Not to mention Pettiti's injuries.

Rivera was a bad signing, but it would take a crystal ball to know that a guy with no injury history is going to suffer a back injury days after you sign him.

Lack of depth on O-line is BP's fault.

Rivera will make up for this year next year. Probably never really healed. It was a good signing that will pay off later instead of sooner.
