The Good the Bad and the Ugly

The Good: Our WR’s. They caught almost every under thrown ball that was near them. I seem to remember two different plays where if Bledsoe was even close to hitting his target in stride it was a TD. TG and TO made several great adjustments to under thrown balls for a first down or TD. Our RB’s looked OK catching the ball also.

The Bad: The O-line. Flozell is not right yet. We keep tossing him out there because he is light years better than his replacements. Keep hoping for some creativity on the offensive side. Anything to hide our weakness. I would not be upset if we throw first over and over to loosen up the defense. We have two stud WR’s and a very good TE.

TheUgly: This loss is on Drew Bledsoe. Any time he is allowed to “put the game on his shoulders” he fails. He is not a HOF QB. Just my opinion. It seems as if Bledsoe’s vision of the field has narrowed. He has had many hard hits over his career. He still has a gun of an arm. My concern is that on his third int. he didn’t even see the LB just off to the left of his target. Anyone with a bad back knows what it can do to you. It changes how you walk and talk.

2nd Place: The Oline: Very good blocking to the outside. More movement than I have seen in several years. Too many bone headed plays combined with not enough talent.

The Future: If BP really believes in Romo that is fine with me. I’m also hoping to see Romo soon. He is at least as able with more mobility behind a sub par Oline. Another clunker performance due to a bad back or whatever in a “Super Bowl” season may be enough for BP to bring in Romo and try to make a playoff run this year with an eye towards next year being out true SB year.
