The Good
1. Marion Barber - What can you say, this kid steps up huge in the last two weeks. He runs with power, he has enough speed to get into the secondary and he blocks in pass protection. Maybe he was the best draft pick for the Cowboys in 2005.
2. Drew Bledsoe bouncing back - He threw that stupid pass last week, but he regained his composure and helped the Cowboys win this game. He didn't toss anything up for grabs and made some nice throws when he needed to. That one pass to Terry Glenn was straight money.
3. NO penalties - Let me say it again, NO penalties enforced against the Cowboys!
4. The defense as a unit - These guys are playing championship football and if they just play this way for 60 minutes the sky is the limit for this team.
5. Shaun Suisham - He was horrible in pregame, but he got his **** together once the game started and he calmed down a little.
6. Henry's TD return - Good things happen when the defense can add to the point total.
7. Tucker and Petitti battling - I know Berry had a couple of sacks, but give these two guys some credit for not giving up and fighting all game long.
8. Demarcus Ware - He never stops working to get to the QB. He is a workhorse and he's only going to get better and better as time goes on.
9. Henry's groin injury not serious - Thank my lucky stars, your lucky stars and Jerry Jones lucky stars because he is a big reason this defense is so good right now.
10. Hands - No one ever drops any passes in this offense.
The Bad
1. Al Johnson - Enough of this guy already. He short arms the snap consistently and if that wasn't bad enough he gets bull rushed into the backfield at least 5 times a game. Where's the bigger more physical Gurode?
2. Singleton injury - I wanted Fujita to start over him more than anyone, but he was still a veteran defender who had value for the defense.
3. Tyson Thompson mental errors - If he gets a shot to be in the game at some point this season and allows a big hit which knocks Drew Bledsoe out his career in the NFL will be over. Get your mind right rookie.
4. No safety help on that TD pass to Boldin - I think that was Keith Davis not being where he was supposed to be again. Not sure, but I know he sometimes does his own thing.
5. Opposing kickers never miss - What is up with this? How come the other teams kicker can't shank one every now and then so the Cowboys get a break.
The Bring On The Bye Week
Heading into the bye at 5-3 is excellent considering there were some tough losses that could have sent this team spiraling toward a last place finish in this tough NFC East. Instead this team is toughening up and heading for the playoffs. I will say it now, the Cowboys will beat the Eagles in Philly two weeks from today!
