The Good
1. Marion Barber. He was outstanding hitting the holes and using his blocks. Where is Tyson Thompson?
2. This defense. I know, I know they sucked on that last 2 minute drive, but the game should have been over by then if the offense did their job and scored more than 10 points.
3. Torrin Tucker. He gave up a late sack, but I would say he played about as good as Flo would have played in this game.
4. Mat McBriar. How did he get that punt off? He is consistent and doesn't make mistakes that hurt the team.
5. Greg Ellis. He was getting good pressure and holding his ground against the run.
The Bad
1. Drew Bledsoe. I have been Pro Bledsoe and still am, but this was a bad game for a good QB. He threw that last pass because he wanted to be John Wayne. Horrible mistake and let's hope he bounces back next Sunday.
2. Rob Petitti. Come on rookie, don't start wetting the bed now. He was doing very well until the coaching staff decided he was doing well enough not to need any help. Bad move coaching staff.
3. Sean Payton. Too much trying to be the standard play caller until there was a "need" for a big play. The art of play calling is being able to keep a defense on their toes, he didn't try to make a play until the Cowboys needed a play made to hold the lead.
4. Bull**** Penalty Calls/Non-Calls. Rivera for holding? Please, that wasn't holding it's whats known as blocking. Witten wasn't interfered with in the End Zone? The call was made and it should have stuck. The guy tried to tackle him for Pete's sake!
5. Red Zone offense - I don't care if they run it in or pass it in, but get the ball over the goalline. I said it in my pregame that a key to winning this game was to score 6 and not settle for FG's. I was exactly right.
The Bring on the Cardinals
It's over, the Dallas Cowboys are 4-3. Win next week and they are 5-3 with a playoff berth within reach. Coach Parcells needs to keep this team together after a tough road loss and he will do just that.
Go Cowboys!
