The Goose w/Norm, KTCK Yesterday

Anyone else catch this? Many of you are much more accomplished at remembering or transcribing these interviews but I'll hit the highlights as I recall, I don't see a podcast anywhere. Some stuff Goose mentioned:

- Likes the skill depth of this draft and thinks going skill with the first 2 picks is likely, a WR and RB in some combination. CB in round 2. At least that's what seemed to be what he was saying as I recall. He wasn't as into the CB within the first 2 picks as the folks on this board seem to be.
- Doesn't think McFadden (of course), Mendenhall or Stewart will be there at our first pick.
- Thinks the price for Roy Williams (Detroit WR) would be your first 1st and a 3rd. I'm guessing the price is higher than other trades lately because he's generally a good egg and still fairly young. Norm still loved the idea.
- Mocked the Commanders coach debacle and the organization in general. Said they'll never get anywhere trying to buy a title and should stop ignoring the draft as the way to build.


That's about all I can muster. Maybe others of you recall more? Or have anything to add?

The "Daily Zone" defaults to "Thread Start Time" in regards to sorting. At the bottom left of the page you can change the sort to "Last Post Time". Recaps usually have several responses and it will usually bring it back to the first page of the "Daily Zone". It will also let you see the most active threads more readily...

Don't let that stop you from posting, we get duplicate threads here all of the time by WoodysGirl...

If you post more than 100 times, you are almost bound to duplicate something. No big deal.

Why the hell do people keep talking about Dallas picking a WR with their first round, when Wade has already stated that picking a WR in the first is a reach. I believe JJ has already confirmed him in this respect.

and Wade too. I don't want ANYTHING to do with drafting a WR in the first round: just too risky. I like the trade for Roy Williams. A first and a 3rd will get it done, and although steep, can you imagine him on one side with T.O. on the other and Witten and Crayton running post up routes on helpless linebackers? Fuhgedaboutit. Trade for Roy W., draft a CB with the other 1st rounder and use the 2nd rounder for depth at O.line or LB IMO.
