As we write this story, we are officially 44 days, 6 hours, 57 minute and 18-ish seconds away from the start of the NFL season. Not that we’re counting or anything.
This is the time of year we happily pour over our fantasy prospects and training camp reports—and also keep a very close eye on all the amazing football stadium snacks in our future.

This season, the Green Bay Packers will be adding an all-bacon food stand at Lambeau Field and this, friends, is what we call a touchdown. The Patrick Cudahy Packhouse is named after the Wisconsin-based Patrick Cudahy—the company that makes the Packers’ official team bacon. Because of course this team has an official bacon.
The pork-centric menu is still being finalized, but we’ve already got our eyes on the “Pigskin:” a big baked potato wrapped in bacon and dressed with chili, more bacon, cheddar cheese, sour cream, chives and bacon-crusted cheese curds. Of course, the meal comes with a side of bacon-ranch dressing.
Wondering why the football franchise is so bonkers over bacon? Well, aside from the fact that it is one of the most delicious foods ever invented, you can just call it a Wisconsin thing. The state is home to at least three different annual bacon festivals including the River Falls Bacon Bash, Bacon, Brew & BBQ Fest and Baconfest Milwaukee which is hosted by Patrick Cudahy. The Packers are simply fulfilling their foodie duties in their home state, you see.
The stand is expected to be up and running by their first home preseason game on Aug. 12 against the Cleveland Browns.
