Is this art? The everlasting Happy Meal

If you or your child has a science fair coming up, you might want to consider this project. It requires nothing of you but to sit and stare and wonder at the properties of the seemingly unsinkable, never-aging, Peter Pan-like properties of the American fast-food meal.
New York City artist Sally Davies, 54, bought a McDonald's Happy Meal on April 10 and decided not to refrigerate it. Then she began photographing it every day to see what happened.
Turns out, not much did. As the two photos here attest (the first taken on Day 1 of "The Happy Meal Project," the second on Day 180, Oct. 7), the food in the meal became a little shriveled, but basically looks the same as when it was brought home. Remarkably, the bun didn't even start to mold.
