Carpenter actually is there quite a bit. Usually as a call-in.

I really wish Carp would cut his hair.

I wish he would cut off his skirt.

Say what you want about his playing ability (or lack of) but he comes off really well on air.
I wouldn't be surprised to see him make a career in the media after his playing days.

Sounds like Bobby Carpenter has been spending his NFL money wisely and would be ok if there is indeed a lock out to begin the 2011 NFL season...

Bobby Carpenter on The Herd - March 22

You know damn well Carp is atypical here. There are so many players right now who are spending more than they make and could care less about people telling them to do other wise.

I think Carpenter did a good job last season as the Nickel LB and he will probably be back on this team again in the same role next year. I know there is talk about last season's third round draft pick Jason Williams competing against him in training camp for the job, but from what I hear Williams had trouble learning the scheme and gaining confidence in the coaching staff that he would make good decisions on the field.

I also doubt there will be a change this season. The staff built trust in Carpenter last season and I don't think they will see the need to make a change.

If Carpenter was playing up and down, then I could see it happening, but there's no reason to make a change just to make a change.

Williams (or Hodge) will likely have to wait until Carp moves on in free agency to get a shot. ... And I don't think that's a bad thing. People seem to be in such a hurry to move on to the next thing when we don't even know if the next thing is as good as what we've got.

This doesn't surprise me. The coaches are hesitant to play first round picks when they are the better players, like Felix Jones and Mike Jenkins.

that really bugs me about this staff- they refuse to play the young guys unless they have no choice and someone is injured- then they throw the kid out there without any game experience and expect him to get it done. Just plain dumb.
