The Herd - Rating Dak

It tells a story that you don't want you hear. There's no better truth than those facts and those numbers. Anything else is an excuse.

6 more touchdowns scored, 4 less turnovers committed. That looks far superior to me.

I'm stating what has factually happened. Real life, not some baseless, unsupportable speculation.

I'm showing the facts on the subject being discussed. Any list that has Wentz listed above a player who has clearly outproduced him is a flawed list. I don't care who's list it is.

Alrighty then… We will just have to agree to disagree.

I'm looking forward to the tears.
See this is a great example of what fan forums generate. Fans who will relish proving doubters and critics wrong more than the discussion itself.

I’m not sure if this is the nature of social media or something more?

I’m trying to recall over the decades sitting around discussing and critiquing players and teams talking sports with friends and family when the objective was proving another wrong?

I think some fans look at the team's success compared to others in regard to QB's. Instead of what they actually did, 9-7 looks horrible compared to winning the Superbowl.

And Wentz wasn't even there for that Super Bowl. You're right people's views can be seriously skewed.

Again this forum is not a fact finding editorial. There’s not an objective in proving who’s right or wrong .

If you want to write your own editorials without rebuttals I’d suggest a different format than a fan forum.

I have no clue what your righteous whining is all about, I just like watching people cry.

Good point. Who knows what he would have done. But I offer no guarantees. He could have very well played horrible. Or, maybe just slightly below he regular season play. Either way, Dak performed better in many ways.

What's the basis for your "disagreement"? What you want to see?

Again, that proves my point.

Thanks.
Beauty is often in the eye of the beholder. We can both look at the same identical event and come away with different opinions and conclusions based on the same set of circumstances and evidence.

I’ve seen people in the same car watch the same accident with completely different testimonies . Look how we can all watch the same play called and come away with different opinions.

There's an objective in supporting your claim. And backing up what you say. If you're incapable of doing that, you're noise. And your opinions are worthless.

If you want to write your own editorials without rebuttals I’d suggest a different format than a fan forum.

And if you want to be taken seriously, I'd suggest doing something other than stringing words together.

I fine with rebuttals that have validity. Noise is just that, noise.

I'm not knocking Wentz, he's a great young quarterback. What I am doing is setting the record straight about how he and Dak Prescott actually compare.

It's hypocritical and uninformed that one guy is getting praised while the guy who actually performed better is getting criticized.

I see a ruffled your feathers… Not really sure why. The discussion was about where NFL GMs. would rank certain QBs. Somethings are too obvious to debate....so I guess I don’t see the point.

I’m not going to argue too much about how he had the QBs broken out in tiers but there were several in tier 2 that no way I’m taking over Dak. No way I’m taking Cam Newton over Dak.
If I had to make up my mind right now, not sure I’m taking Luck over Dak cuz who knows if Luck plays again and/or plays well after all the injuries. Frankly, I’m not taking Rivers over Dak either for the fact that Rivers is topped out and I don’t think he can win a big game while Dak is still getting better and appears to have more clutch in him. So some of all of those tier 2 guys may currently be better QBs than Dak but that doesn’t mean I’d trade Dak for some of them. Dak is only going into year 2 and if he improves just a little bit then he’s into tier 2, if he improves a lot, he’s firmly entrenched middle of tier 2.

Same page, I would be happy with either QB.
The great thing is we landed ours in the 4th round without moving up 6 spots in the 1st round and giving up an additional 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th round pick.

How so? Do the work of showing grounds for your own continued misinterpretation.

My "hunch" is that you don't know what you're talking about and want to argue for the sake of argument.

Try to dispute the facts with facts of your own. Do the work. Instead of noise.
That’s not necessary in a fan forum format.

There nothing to dispute with specific facts but how they’re presented to support a narrative is disputable . We see it done every day in the sports and news world.

Actually, it looks like Eagle feathers ruffled. I'm more than happy to talk about the fact that Prescott has outperformed Wentz. Thrilled in fact. What would I have to be upset about?

Obviously not. The thread title and conversation were about "rating Dak" maybe you missed that?

What's "too obvious to debate" are the facts that I presented. Dak has been better than Wentz.

No it’s not. It’s seperate issues and narratives . We can critique Dak without critiquing Wentz.

There is no record to set straight . Lol
You guys really take yourselves too seriously. Fan forums are full of fables not facts.
