Troy Aikman. Running into the tunnel after a touchdown. We all know why. Bill Bates , knocking the clown off of the star trying to disrespect the Cowboys. So many strange things have happened . What do you remember. Who is ever going to forget Elliot jumping in the Salvation Army cup

Are you taking about this moment? https://www.dallascowboys.com/video/memorable-moments-teague-knocks-owens-off-star-268261 ? It was George Teague, not Bill Bates.

Elliott and his stunts are very forgetful. 20 years from now I will still remember Emmitt's run against the Giants with a separated shoulder more than I will remember Zeke and his stupid antics.

Emmitt is someone who has earned respect and will be remembered with the all time greats. Zeke will be long forgotten, maybe even before his playing days are over.

At that time (and years afterward), I was concerned that nonsense would catch fire among young boys and men in high school and college football. Young people have always been impressionable.

Skip ahead two decades and it has been more than satisfying witnessing that, outside a handful of similar reported incidents, the nonsense was not adopted by kids. Very satisfying indeed.

George Teague. Dallas Cowboys hero.

I know a lot of people bring up the Hail Mary. After all, it's what won the game. But as a little kid just getting into football there was another play in that game that got me super excited. It came a few plays before the Hail Mary. It was a 4th and really long, maybe 4th and 16 or 17. I remember being so happy they converted that play. I just knew the Cowboys would win, and they did. The Hail Mary was not the exciting play for me when watching that game. I guess because I was around 8 or 9 years old, I expected to win after that 4th and long.

George Teague went after “That’s my quarterback...”.

No so much the play, but Irvin laying on the ground in Philly. The crowd. It's like everyone forgot that that was a man on the field. A human. Just a dispicable moment in sports. I'm sure there are some good Philly fans, but the whole fan base is tainted in my opinion. I'm not sure what could ever change the disgust I feel for them as a group.

this thread doesnt seem to have a clear theme or question are you looking for goofball moments, any type of oddity, great moments?

for oddities I remember Landry being escorted from a live game because of death threats

The cat on the field against the Giants. The Bills game where Romo threw 1000 picks and still won. The Dez no-catch in Green Bay. The two late 4th quarter Zeke TD's to win the game against the Steelers in 2016. The 3rd and 18 Dak run against Seattle in the Wild Card round. Even though I tried to forget 2020, the Falcons comeback.

I don’t understand the vitriol some have against current players. As for a memory i have a couple which aren't super significant plays. The first was I was at a cowboy eagle game in Texas stadium and was talking to the guy sitting next to me (after being told to sit down and shut up by an older let’s call him a gentleman) about how when the eagles pull the safety down Tony will toss it deep to TO. It didn’t connect but it was cool that it happened in the same play. And the second was on TV I think against the Bears maybe by it was an over the shoulder loft pass td to MB3 that really left me impressed with Romo’s skillzz
