Dallas Cowboys are like a must watch tv show debuting its new series on fox. The talk is there, the hype is beyond, the cast is stellar and the anticipation has been building for months.

A week before production starts, the lead character exits, and without him the show goes nowhere.

but it can, the show was already sold to an audience, and coming back down to earth is no option. The show must go on, expectations must be met. Another character , an unknown, is found, and the show hits and the ratings are down.

rather cancel the show, it is pushed, and despite more praise from the outside and promises, the results aren’t there. But there too far out now, admitting a mistake would set it back, and some watchers would tune out.

director continues to jam it together and try to make it work, the script doesn’t fit the new lead, and a change would drop the viewship from average to not good. Time would be wasted finding another lead, and they already have a guy, just not making the show work.

thats the Dallas cowboy. They HAVE to be good. All we hear about all offseason. Romo gets hurt, and a tank is not an option. Enter a 4th round guy, with a history of playing conservative In a pass happy league. Accuracy was always a question.

here we are 4 years later, and those tendencies have not changed. At full
Roster strength, he’s 7-8. The show is bad, but admitting that would mean more lost time, admitting there not “contenders” right now, and risk that 7-8 being a 5-10.

instead of admitting being wrong, and taking a step back, they continued to force the square
Peg in round hole.

that’s the problem with expectations being high all the time, and an owner always “all out”, sometimes the chips are stacked against you, and if you don’t have the right cards, gotta know when it’s time to fold.
