The Hobbit has Officially been Greenlit

Nice. Can't wait. Although I hate how they keep referring to Middle Earth like it's real.

Is a snippet 3 paragraphs?
A snippet could be as little as one para. The goal is simply to provide the gist of what the article is about before shipping readers off to another site.

About time. I've been hearing about how it's "going to be made soon" forever.

My first thought reading the title was that they were combining elements from The Hulk and Lord of the Rings to create little green Hulk hobbits.

I know what a snippet is. I'm just breaking your balls.

I hate that they are making it in 3D.

Why do you care? Just don't watch it in 3D if you hate it that much. Pretty simple.

McKellen is back as Gandalf and Martin Freeman is your new lead as the younger Bilbo Baggins...

Nice.

Retaining the same actors for crucial roles is paramount in situations like these. IMO.

I actually agree with Paul Blart on this one. The 3D fad used to irk me -- until it donned on me I just didn't have to see it in 3D.
