Less is better with Dak. That has always been the case.

I'm not concerned with Dak putting up numbers.

My concern is doing what is best and most efficient for this offense to operate at its highest level.

Do I think we can beat the Texans with Dak throwing a lot? Sure.

Do I want the team to play smart football instead and take advantage of a glaring weakness of our opponent? Absolutely.

I see no scenario where they lose to the Texans. If so, they hve a problem. Texans are literally good at nothing.

I expect to see our offense be somewhat balanced. No issue if in this game we run the ball more often and hopefully successfully. I still think you go into this game with a mindset of being balanced. When I say balance this does not mean 50/50 run/pass

Around 25 passes for Dak is the perfect balanced game.

If we don't have close to 40 rush attempts between Pollard, Zeke, Lamb, Dak, and Davis then what are we doing?

Pass plays gain more than run plays. If we don't tune the offense for optimum balance and production...then what are we doing?

If the Texans stack 8 in the box...guess what? It wouldn't make much sense to run 40 times into that box.

Exactly. And that's another thing. You can't expect the Texan to defend the Cowboys like they've done other teams. They may decide to sell out on the run and then what? Just run it for the hell of it?

Cool that’s totally sensible I just thought you meant we would lose with Dak throwing a bunch, which while the premise of balance is definitely the better way to play, I don’t think Dak would have trouble beating the Texans with his arm.
