The Incredible Arrogance Of Jerry Jones & The Dallas Cowboys

Around here, which represents less than one percent of the fanbase, there’s only a few….but the problem lies in general. The very casual “fan” who can name maybe ten players on the team but still buys merchandise and goes to games every now and then. Watches about half of them.

Those types will never get emotional enough to protest in any type of way, but they may stop paying attention, at which time Jerry recently promised to “shake it up.”

I don’t know what that means…probably a dumb trade for a WR…but I do know that the only hope for turnaround here is for a Parcells-type situation to happen. They’ve gotta get a lot lower before that has a chance to happen….as in maybe six feet lower.
Excellent post and exactly right.

A lot of people forget that Jimmy Johnson, in addition to being head coach of the Dallas Cowboys, was also co-GM with Jerry. Since then, they have never drafted or "wheeled & dealed" in free agency as brilliantly.
You have to love the revolving door.

Nah, he just spews. His thinking doesn't go anywhere near that deep as to be concerned w/ what anyone wants to hear. He likes to hear himself talk, and doesn't care. That is what works!!!
i see you do as well

I totally disagree. It was definitely a team and they did it well together. did you forget Jimmy failed in Miami?
Once again, for those like yourself with an agenda to trash Jimmy Johsnons of all people - JIMMY WON THE ******* National Championship in Miami. The first coach in football history to win at the highest college level and the SB. Puts some respect on Jimmy's name or get the **** out of here.

Norm raises some good points. And he is right on them.

Jones and company have my support because I am and will continue to be a fan of the Dallas Cowboys. If I thought the way so many posters here think of Jones, I’d find another team to call my favorite. The Jones family will be running the Cowboys until most of us are dead. It’s their business and, unlike other billionaire owners, it’s their primary job and that’s never going to change. So sick of hearing people complain about something that is going to stay the same. It’s like whining about the rain in the middle of a thunder storm….pointless.

Same with Dak haters. The decision has been made. Deal with it. How do all the people who come here time and again with the same criticism live their daily lives? I imagine they moan and whine about whatever status quo they don’t like. It’s got to be miserable to be around them on the daily. I truly feel sorry for their wives, kids, friends, and coworkers. These are the worst people to have to listen to frequently.

If you don’t like the circumstance, remove yourself from it. That’s what healthy-minded adults do.

It’s my last post until next year, so best wishes for a great 2025 to everyone. As always, Go Cowboys!

I have little faith in this team's front office to suddenly discover a solution to making this team a winner again. They're done nothing but regress in the past 30 years and holding, so holding lofty expectations seem nothing short of foolhardiness. If things somehow change, I'll be pleasantly surprised but mostly shocked and dumbfounded. The fact that the Cowboys' management is so inclined to imagine they're highly competent fails to offer realistic visions of a glorious season to anticipate. Jones & Son happily offer the same act to look forward to. Anything more will astound me.

Ah, a cheap shot. That's what one spews when they've lost the discussion!!! Thanks for the kudos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yea, sorry. i get tired of the constant flow of hate and "my opinion of jones must be what jones is actually thinking" stuff.

wasn't aware discussions had to have winners and losers.
