It seems just like yesterday, good lads, that Kavontae Turpin and the late and the great Sam Williams publicized a party to celebrate after the Cowboys beat the Packers. Unfortunately, the Pack handed the Cowboys ashes to them.

Before the Cowboys–Packers matchup, Williams and Turpin posted and discussed on social media and in fan‑shared videos that they would be hosting a “Cowboys Victory Party” after the game. The event was scheduled for Sunday, January 14, and was promoted as a celebration for any Cowboys win

A failed party that will live in infamy.

What were your reactions upon hearing about this planned party?
Laughter? Rage? Dismissal?

Dismissal

These type of paid player appearances happen all the time.

The only things that raised eyebrows is that the promoters marketed it as a “Victory Party” and the fact that the players had it on social media before the game and not after.

Honestly too long ago, forgotten and don’t care

I’m sure at the time I thought it was typical bs from this team

Nothing. No reaction from me.

I'm used to it. The talk...followed by a sissy performance on the field, and national humiliation. We're a buffoon organization...the court jester of the NFL. Nobody takes us seriously....so neither do I.

Thats the problem with cowboys. This peed me off then. Still pees me off. This is the culture issue that starts with Jerry and permeates through the Cowboys. Its the HC responsibility to manage, kill and talk to players about this stuff.

And it happened again, against Tampa. Dak said as much that they thought this was a win. Blah blah.

Johnson would have rode their arses making sure they dont rake anyone lightly.

This team drinks their own kool-aid and is not serious about winning or knows what it takes to be a championship team.

Its the culture

Didn't bother me, except for the fact that they publicized it. Players do this stuff all the time.
Reminds me of a time that the police chief went to my office and told me, that my team was planning a big barn party at a local ranch. It was Thanksgiving night and we had a 3 hour bus ride for a playoff game the next morning....after that afternoon's walk thru, I told my team...BTW, I asked the Chief to assign extra officers to the Third Canal area, tonight....they all exhaled, like sheet, we're busted! I said, loudly....Don't Don't Anything.....the whole team yelled...STUPID!!!! That's what MM should have done. Lol

I remember Ro Parrish hosting Martellus Bennett in a post game party in 2008. Meanwhile Bennett couldn’t even understand the playbook. Fans called him out on it and he didn’t take it well. lol

Not even a hint of anger. Acceptance is a more fitting emotion for me.

This is the Dallas Cowboys in this era

Lots of chatter and bravado. Lots of great cliches and promises

Very little actual results

My reaction was and remains, I’ll believe it when I see it”, and until we make out first appearance in an NFC championship game in 30 years, it’s simply “business as usual”, lather, rinse, repeat.

I took the victory party the same way we feel about Dallas' performance against the Buccaneers. EMBARRASSED

Sam Williams is on the first place Browns. Wonder if he has a party planned for tomorrow.
