Am I the only one in the USA that have not received a rebate check (or whatever it's called, stimulus check) from the IRS yet?

Anyone else out there that have yet to receive theirs?

:(

You can go to the IRS website and should be able to find out when you're getting yours. I had mine direct deposited and it hit just after midnight on the exact date that it said on the IRS website.

My brother hasn't gotten his yet. They said it takes longer if you mailed in your tax return.

The IRS has a webpage entitled Where's My Stimulus Check? where you can check the status of your check:

http://www.irs.gov/individuals/article/0,,id=181665,00.html

Select the link towards the bottom of the page and then enter your SSN, 2007 filing status, and number of exemptions. It will then tell you what date your payment will be sent and what the amount is.

Also, a relative of mine is still waiting for his check and was told he will not receive it until July, so you are not the only one still waiting.

I haven't but mine won't be sent until July 4th. I don't want the gubment to have any access to my back account. :D

Why not? Politicians enjoy a good laugh now and then too!

Thanks everyone...however!

I wonder...I ended up owing the IRS this year and they deducted it stright from my checking account.

Now Mav's link said that there is no info about my check (if I even get one :( which I don't know, although I should) so they have my bank account number and if it's direct deposit it should have been around May 16 and if it's not direct deposit the mailed check should come around July 11.

I wonder if even though I owed this year, do you think I still get the stimulus check?

You can use the Economic Stimulus Payment Calculator to see if you qualify. Here is a link.

Here is a # you can call also. (1-866-234-2942)

Thanks, bro!

I'm going to go get my Tax Return and try this out!

Ok...I do qualify. I will get a payment unless I have not paid my taxes (which I did), so I guess it will be the July11 date since the May16 date has long passed (my last two digits of the SSN are 93).

Although I used TaxAct to file from home and the IRS took the payment out of my checking acct automatically, I guess it's a paper check I get. Oh well...

The drinks are on me!! (on or around July11).

:laugh2:

I guess your SS number is the culprit. They were starting lowest to highest on the last two digits if what I heard was correct.

Like trick, we just got ours this past weekend.

Yes. If you owed and paid, you'll get the check. If you owed and didn't pay (like me) you'll get a letter from the IRS stating that your tax liability has been reduced by the amount of your rebate and giving you a new amount due.

That is why I was asking earlier because I think I know the problem but you never answered. If you use tax sofware like TurboTax (like we did), your refund check gets mailed not auto deposited.

I thought I was getting my check when the first round of checks went out until I got a email from TurboTax. They informed me that the government isn't informing people like me that we will get our printed check via snail mail per the schedule.

My wife handles all that and sure enough, the last two numbers of her SS# are 98. :bang2:

That is interesting because I also did my taxes via TurboTax and right before I finished it gave me an option to have it deposited into the same account, or if I wanted it mailed. I had it direct deposited last month. I was using the free version and I didn't get a refund because I owed. I don't know if either of those would change anything.
