Is that all Brown would cost is a 7th? If that is all that would be a steal.

Brown did not have as good a year in 2005 as he did in 2004, and that has been his problem in the past -- he has been an inconsistent and streaky kicker. He made good progress in 2004 but then reverted to numbers more like those he had in his rookie year of 2003. He was consistent in the 20-29 and 30-39 yard ranges but struggled in the 40-49 and 50-plus ranges. His percentage dropped overall from .920 in 2004 to .720 in 2005, and he also missed an extra point. He has a strong leg, is solid in his mechanics and has a very good follow though on his kicks. However, Brown is not consistent, gets out of rhythm and will lose his confidence. He needs to be dependable and get back to his 2004 numbers if he wants to be considered one of top kickers in the league year after year.
