It makes you wonder...it's so obvious to anyone who watches the games that we run a very simple and predictable scheme. Not only the blitzes which most fans see coming a mile away. But also the coverages we run on the back end. Fans see it watching from their couches at home. Opposing coordinators must be laughing while watching in the film room. Phil Simms and other commentators have called this out repeatedly throughout the season.
You can say a lot of things about Wade and his ability(or lack thereof) as a Head Coach. But he's been respected in the NFL as a coordinator for many years and i'm certain he didn't earn his reputation being this predictable. Maybe he has no confidence the players can handle more complex schemes. Can't blame it on youth as we are for the most part a veteran defense. Wade has probably seen every complex scheme, coverage and blitz and I'm sure he's used many of them over his long career as a coordinator. So it's certainly not ignorance on his part...
