Am I the only one that saw 11 guys about to blitz on our second last drive of the game 3rd and 5 or whatever It was. How did Cassel not check out of that play? Instead a quick 3 and out and our defense Is back on the field. A blocked field goal resulting in no points. The play-calling has to change or Romo may as well not bother coming back.

Romo would have audibled out or faked a call to make them re-think sending 9. Doesn't matter what our coordinator calls, Romo's improvisions make this basic offense go. It's been more evident over these past 5 1/2 weeks.

You're right, Romo does make the whole thing better by being aggressive, which he's been lambasted for in the past.

It's funny - the Sturm thread is full of people lamenting the fact that Garrett is a conservative coach, however, mixed with a risk-taking QB a conservative coach is probably a good thing. Garrett and Romo are kind of Yin and Yang and when it works it works well.

Unfortunately the backup QBs are gun shy and conservative like Garrett - which leads to field goals and endless frustration.
