Dude... I didn't notice this but this is too cool. Is this just the victory formation or has this been done on a regular play? Born in '74 fan since around 1980, I grew up on this. We invented the shotgun... had our #'s on the hip of our pants etc.. Very cool stuff.

I love this, does anyone know where this tribute originated? I believe Garrett just attributed it to "something o-line took it upon themselves" to do. I'm wondering if it was Callahan or one of the other coaches, would love to know the back story.

Yes it's a ridiculously minor nitpick, but it always bugs me when the center does it. Under Landry, the center was already on the ball, and the others did the shift.

I think this was the first time they did it on both snaps of the kneel down. As far as I remember they have only been doing it on the first down play of the victory formation in previous games.

It was and it was awesome. Was barely able to hold the tears back explaining the sitnificance of this to my 8 year old at the end of the game yesterday.

Too bad the media doesn't pick up on this.

yeah, love that they give a shout out to Tom........he also was the one who brought back the shotgun to the contemporary NFL as we know it. So many teams are paying tribute to the man with the funny hat. Now about that flex defense.....hmmmmm.

Actually, they did line up in the flex to honor Landry a few years ago:

I think they are deliberately ignoring it or stupid.
