The Landry Shift

I feel like the team I've been cheering for the last 25 years isn't even the same franchise.

Other than the name and the uniforms, it isn't.

When Schramm, Landry, and Brandt came to Dallas they all had previous experience in front office (Schramm/Rams), coaching (Landry/Giants), and scouting (Brandt/Rams), and they assumed those roles in Dallas.

Now they're run by an old oil man who gives himself credit for building Jimmy Johnson's team, and his son (whose only NFL experience is working for his old man). The results speak for themselves.

That was the norm for so long that if they started doing it again it would probably take me awhile to realize it. I know this because it's happened. I only remembered because I saw a post on these boards. In my brain it's still expected.

Maybe 54 can patent the Jaylon Swipe? This can be used for all plays where the player misses 45 tackles, but makes the final one 47 yards down the field..but then realizes the guy he tackled doesn't even have the ball?
