HE was an excellent DT and a very good NT which was not his strength. Tuna knew he had to have good lines
interestingly enough he was better drafting DL then O line.
We are EXACTLY the opposite now

We desperately need someone in charge who understands the position.

They think they can solve everything through the draft. They're going to have to move up in the draft to get one. Or pay through the nose for one in FA. Or both. Otherwise this is going to be a problem next year too.

Position flex in Dallas typically means you suck at both positions.

There's was absolutely zero evidence to suggest he was the answer going into this year. That excuse was somewhat coherent when they burned a 1st on him, but after a year of showing nothing it lost all validity. Their tactic appeared to be blind hope.

I'm sure they sit around with their YES men and talk themselves into the dumbest positions possible. No one is around that will tell them that someone they think is good actually sucks. That's why Jimmy and to some degree Parcells could only exist so long around Jerry. He LOVES to be told "great idea" and you are the "smartest". Nothing will change until people stop going to the stadium.

There’s a play on Facebook reels of Maliek Collins (49ers) slinging 2 players trying to double team him, then wiping the floor with a 3rd that takes a running start at him and still stuffing the runner for 2 yards.
But hey, people here couldn’t see him leave fast enough!

Yup, Collins was good. Problem was, we kept playing him at NT, when he's a quality 3 tech.
