We lost the game in the fourth quarter with a Baseball Quarterback! I think that we have a better offense and defensive team this year.

That was a close game till the half. We were on the road on the turf.

Small tidbit here, Roy Williams intercepted Manning that game! It was a great play too, he stepped in front of a dig route and caught it like a wr.

Deion was lit up like a Christmas tree by Harrison.....I think that was the game.

Harrison double moved him everytime and Deion would start holding his hammy.

Taken from poster Hostile in another forum: All Time Versus the Colts

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There isn't as much History between the Colts and Cowboys as the last 2 workups I did. The reason is simple, those were a division rival and a former division rival. This is a non conference foe.

Dallas leads the all time regular season series with the Colts 7-5. The Colts do own a win in the Post Season, a 16-13 win in Super Bowl V in Miami. The first post AFL-NFL merger Super Bowl.

A lot of controversy surrounds that Super Bowl loss to the Colts. It remains the only Super Bowl in history that a player from the losing team was the game MVP. That honor belongs to Mr. Chuck Howley, who also played a hell of a game in Super Bowl VI. Howley is so underrated it's not funny.

The controversy stems from a since changed rule. It used to be that if a receiver tipped a ball the offense could not be the next player to touch the ball. The refs ruled the Mel Renfro of the Cowboys touched the ball after it was tipped and before it landed in the hands of Hall of Fame TE John Mackey. The result was a 75 yard TD and Dallas never recovered. To this day Mel Renfro, a Hall of Fame CB, denies that he ever touched the football. The play should have been nullified. Alas, we can't turn back the clock, and no instant replay.

It also was one of the most exciting Super Bowls ever played. Colts Kicker Jim O'Brien kicked a 32 yard field goal with 5 seconds left in the game or it would have been the only Super Bowl to reach overtime to decide.

The Colts franchise began in Baltimore in 1953. There was a previous Baltimore Colts team from 1947 to 1950, they played in the All American Footbal Conference. The AAFC merged into the NFL in 1950, but the Colts franchise folded. They were reborn in 1953. In 1984 they loaded Mayflower trucks and moved to Indianapolis. While in Baltimore the Colts won 3 NFL Championships to go with Super Bowl V. All time in the Post Season the Colts are 13-16.

Okay, let's look at the series. It is a series of streaks. The Colts won the first 2 matchups, the Cowboys the next 7 minus the Super Bowl, and the Colts the last 3 matchups.

1960...Colts, 45-7 in Dallas
1967...Colts, 23-17 in Baltimore
1969...Cowboys, 27-10 in Dallas
1972...Cowboys, 21-0 in Baltimore
1976...Cowboys, 30-27 in Dallas
1978...Cowboys, 38-0 in Dallas
1981...Cowboys, 37-13 in Baltimore
1984...Cowboys, 22-3 in Dallas
1993...Cowboys, 27-3 in Indianapolis
1996...Colts, 25-24 in Dallas
1999...Colts, 34-24 in Indianapolis
2002...Colts, 20-3 in Indianapolis

There have been six games in Dallas, The Cowboys lead 4-2. There were 3 games in Baltimore, the Cowboys lead 2-1. There were 3 games in Indianapolis, the Cowboys trail 1-2.

I do agree though that this is a way better team on offense and defense.

Our best offensive weapon was joey galloway? T.O and the better Ohio state teamate are here now.

QB- Any questions?
RB- Read above
Wr- read above
OL- larry allen was pretty good then but flozell wasn't as good but both lines stink -push
Te -witten then vs witten now-pro bowl baby!

So indy will have their hands full and they wont have edge this time or marcus pollard who to me was better with peyton than dallas clark because peyton goes to utech more anyway.

I say we win this one 34-24

No worries we are cool. I have no problem admitting I was wrong. I have had a lot of practice in 7 years of marriage. :D
