It was a C from Wisconsin.

Bill Parcells explained that he'd been "held hostage by the center position before and didn't want that to continue

The Parcells - Garrett similarities continue to astound me.

Parcell's couldn't pick a lineman to save his life.

Al Johnson wasn't half bad until micro fracture surgery

It was a good pick. He lost a ton of weight after that surgery and just had a hell of a time getting it back on. His first season (2nd year) there was buzz about him being a guy who might get to the probowl.

BP was snakebitten with OL. Rogers and his injuries, Peterman tearing up his knee, Johnson with microfracture surgery. That's just a terrible string of bad luck. You can't predict injury and we had several picks go down early.

Then, somehow, we manage to pick the only BC lineman in recent history to suck as a pro.

Al Johnson was never all that great for us. He could not anchor and that hurt him. To be honest, this organization, under Jerry, has never drafted a good Center. It's never happened. I hope this is the exception.
