Not sure what everyone else thought.. but i didnt care if he caught that last ball vs reeves.. we dont think of it at the time.. but if he catches it.. he has 4 seconds left with 2 receivers on him.. game was over regardless. that pass was needed to caught more to the sideline.

That very last pass before the field goal, where Reeves might have had an interception. I don't think he realizes that all the discussion is about the deep pass earlier when there was still :19 on the clock.

I think there was a bit more time than that left.

They ran one more play before the field goal attempt. If Brown had made that catch, they might of had enought time to line up and spike the ball.

The Eagles had no timeouts left. The poster is assuming they would not have been able to spike the ball in time to stop the clock for the easy FG attempt.

no it sounds more like he's talking about the pass they missed right before the field goal. becuase they lined up for the field goal with 4 seconds to go. Had they completed that deep pass, it would have been game over!

He's talking about the third-down play with 9 seconds left, immediately before the field-goal attempt. McMahon threw a pass to Brown on the left sideline at the 25, but Reeves was in front of him and nearly picked it off. Had Brown caught it, he would have been tackled inbounds (Davis was right behind him), and time would have run out.

The killer was the drop by Brown on our 21. 17 seconds left on the clock, thats well within Aikers range. Plenty of time to get a ball spiked. That would have killed us. I guess were lucky he's a rookie.

My fear is that Davis would have knocked him out of bounds -- instead of tying him up.

Brown is, BTW, an awful receiver.

His scouting report "struggles to maintain concentration on the ball, resulting in drops of easy passes "

True that.

On the replay I thought Reeves stripped Brown after he grabbed it out of the air and before he landed. Watching the pass live I all but had a heart attack.
