Not sure what a Stankee is, but if you made a typo and meant "Yankee" then he's a bright kid. Only legitness goes there.

Telling..............

Anyone who can play is now a "roid" guy..................

Another thing, the last guys who should be knee-jerk, off-the-cuff, reactionary, and "we hate them because their so good" guys are COWBOY FANS! You, of all folks, know how it feels.

What's with all the Yankee hatred?

Where have you been the last 30 years?

Also, Where's all the hate for Boston? Their payroll isn't too far behind New York's, and they've lived off of Manny, Ortiz and to an extent Roger Clemens of late. Substance use/cheaters anyone? The Dodgers ain't no slouches either.

I'm a Yankee fan. Where I come from, you get beat up if your NOT a Yankee fan. I don't recall becoming a Yankee fan. You just "are" in those parts.

This "ruining the game/money" crap, sounds like my old man in 1977. There's no salary cap in baseball. If there were no salary cap in the NFL, I wouldn't hear a peep out of you about "how much money Jerry Jones spends to buy championships" and how he's ruining the game.

If you don't like the money Steinbrenner spends, then start a petition or a boycott. See what that gets you. I don't know what your beef is, the Yanks haven't won a Ring of late anyway. So you should be reveling in the money spent against the return of investment if you hate the Yankees so much.

Sour grapes. Envy, Red Sox lover............whatever.

(psssssst...........BTW, they're in first place)

30 years?! The Yankees have been buying pennants for 90 years.

Complete bull.

All those iconic Yankee teams of lure were farm-built teams. All the way up to the 60's days of Mantle and Berra and Whitey Ford, all built through the Yankee organization. Babe Ruth came from a trade with Boston of course, but he STARTED in Baltimore. Blame Boston for that bone-head move.

Go through the Yankee Hall of Fame Greats, and 90% of them were scouted, chosen, trained by the Yankees, and played their entire careers in NY. Period.

This "buying a championship" misnomer started with George Steinbrenner in the 70's. Primarily because of the Catfish Hunter and Reggie Jackson deals. Other than that, mostly even THOSE teams were Yankee/draft/farm built.
Thurman Munson, Gregg Nettles, Bobby Mercer, Ron Guidry, Willie Randolf, etc, etc.....................All Yankees through and through.

The rules are the rules and if you don't like it, don't watch baseball. Until they have a salary cap in MLB, the Yankees will be viable and always a threat to win it all :D:D:D:D:D:D:D!!!!!!

I live in NY and i hate the yankees and have been a Redsox fan my whole life just like my father and I never got beat up for it.

Fist of all, I'm not a Laker fan. I'm a Houston Rocket fan.
Secondly, I'm from Scranton, PA. I don't know what they feed you in NY, but in Scranton, EVERYONE is a Yankee fan.

Third, if you think being a Cowboy fan since 1964 in Penna. was some disco, you're wrong.

I know what your getting at. That I'm some bandwagon guy who joins up wit winners. WRONG. I just happened to get the luck of the draw. Nobody, and I MEAN NOBODY in their right mind is a Cowboy fan in Penna. through the 60's, 70's and 80's.

I'm pulling for the Lakers because I like Kobe and want him to squash this slathering love affair everyone has with King James. Nothing against LeBron, but it's a great time and story for Kobe go "get his".

I also can't understand how any Cowboy fan can fall into this "hate a winner" thing. Cowboy fans, of all people, should be THE LAST people to hate on any franchise for no other reason than jealousy. What have the Yankees done to you besides beat the snot out of everyone? No matter how they do it? Who cares? They win, and win, and win..............and, if their down for a while, you know it's only a matter of time before they win again.

That's the story of the Dallas Cowboys, and they too have become a polarizing team in the NFL. In fact THE MOST polarizing team. For not other reason than pure and unadulterated spite and jealousy. PERIOD. AND YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT!!

So, unless you got a good reason (besides spite) to hate on a perennial "winner", than your a two-faced hypocrite if you're REALLY a Cowboy fan. Because REAL Cowboy fans recognize and appreciate quality and winning, and don't resent it when others live up to the Cowboy Standard.

Lastly, 80 mill. buys you a reserve shortstop for 4 years in MLB. Boston is on par with NY, and I called you dead-on right as a sour grape Boston fan................

Another thing............

I don't HATE the Red Sox. In fact, if the Yankees aren't in it, I kinda' like it when the AL East does well. I thought it was a good story that, after 2,000 years and the invention of the wheel, that Boston finally won a Championship. So good for you................

But you have no snappy comeback after I check-mated you for your "90 years of buying" line. The fact that a century of Yankee dominance was home-grown talent...........

Listen, take your measly little two trophy's and your Vaseline into your room and have a night of it. You exposed yourself as just another bitter and resentful Red Sox guy with ***** envy about the Yankees. They write songs and make movies about you guys, it's so common.

Wow, for a fan, you don't know your Yankee history. Ruth wasn't traded, he was sold. Also, you should read up on the Yankees-A's pipeline of the '50s and '60s. Finally, your examples: both Nettles and Randolph were traded to the Yankees after starting their major league careers elsewhere.

Whatever. I know all that but let my fingers move faster than my mind.

Next time you want to pick at little scabs, address my "90% of all Yankee greats were home-grown", MR. "I know my history". Yeah, Google THAT and get back to us.

This guy says that the Yanks have been "buying" championships for 90 years, and that's pure crock! THAT'S a guy talking with his HATE and not his mind. After he exposed himself as a Red Sox fan, well, now we all know why.........................The Red Sox have been the "Eagles" to the Yankees "Cowboys" for about a century now, so I understand how THAT can grow thin.

Hey, calm down. First of all, I'm not a Red Sox fan, and don't know where you got that idea. Secondly, I don't really care all that much that the Yankees have been buying pennants since the 'teens, but it's pretty indisputable. As far as all the 'home-grown' stars of the Yankees past, that's in large part because in the years before the draft (and in some cases since), the Yankees used their financial advantage to sign all the most promising prospects. To which I say: good for them.

The Yankees are the YANKEES precisely because of their huge advantage in resources over other teams throughout the years, all through the last century. For the record, the only part of that that I have a problem with is the Yankees-A's pipeline years, where the A's were beholden to the Yankees and were not acting in their own interests as an independent team. That kind of arrangement is pretty toxic for a sport. The rest of it, though, is just the Yankees trying to build the best team they can, and that's fine with me. Personally, if I ran baseball, I'd throw a couple more teams into the NY area to blunt that financial advantage a bit, but that's neither here nor there.
