Rypien is an interesting case. Went from ALL Pro to nothing in a couple of years. And it wasn't injuries as I recall.

it was Rypien's bad play that someone covering the NFL (I think it was an ESPN guy) coined "he's a threat to onlookers" becauses his passes became so wild

Dilfer and Brad Johnson played GREAT those seasons. Maybe not stat crazy but they did not lose games and let defense carry.

My vote is Hostetler with Giants.

Dilfer replaced an ineffective Tony Banks at the halfway point of that season...he attempted less passes than banks, yet threw more ints...both started 8 games...in 3 of the postseason games he attempted less than 18 passes and in one of them he completed only 5/16 passes...I dont see how you can argue he was "great"...he was lousy and they won because of a great defense and solid running game

kinda funny you vote for Hostetler after giving props to Dilfer and Johnson, saying they werent "stat crazy but they did not lose games and let defense carry", when Hostetler probably did it better than those two...he turned the ball over only once in 5 starts (3 were postseason games)

This list is clearly about the worst QBs (based upon career) to win the SuperBowl. Has nothing to do with the season or game.

The list is pretty accurate.

Ummm..

Simms and Doug Williams had like the highest QB ratings ever in their Super Bowl wins.

This list is stupid.

It is not about how good they did in the superbowl its about how good they actually were.
