Basic rundown, Teddy Bruschi recovered from a stroke and the ESPN announcers could not stop fawning over his superman like qualities to the point of absurdity.

In this clip he saves puppies from a burning car after a critical 4th down play. You'll love it.

The NFL itself even got in on the act. Bruschi was named defensive player of the week despite basically doing nothing special. In the announcement, the NFL said he "raised his arms early in the game to energize New England's '12th Man' and called signals in the huddle."

Wow, can you believe a player actually raised his arms AND called signals in the huddle? IN THE SAME GAME??
