Mens, followers of the Bahai, blue-collar heroes, cheap suits, skilled workers and persons of interests:

There are long weeks and then there are loooong weeks.
Like the week leading up to the NFL draft.
In our Super Bowl Years, the week leading up to The annual whippins of the Buffalo Bills and then the Steelers.
The week leading up to training camp.

But the longest week to me is the week leading up to the first game of America's Team.

It seems as if the clock is ticking backward. Seems as if the world goes about its bidness in slow motion. I wake up and smoke . . . eat a bowl of cereal and ah looks at the calendar and dang, that magical Sunday or Monday Night seems to never get here.

How do you mens endure this time leading up to our first game?

Aside from looking forward to my posts, how really do you pass the interm. . . . intermad . . . the long long time before that danged Sunday gets here? Pls share and maybe share your pre-game meal (mine is toast, beer and pancakes with boysenberry jam because I am a citizens for boysenberry jam fan.) with me.

(and yes, this sounded gud in my head before I wrote it)

holla

doing 30 days getting down to 1 week is the longest week I have ever had. 1 week to the reg season is a walk in the park. :D

I pass the week by picking up prostitutes, murdering them, and also throwing puppies into the river...that's always fun!!

It is always good to have a hobby. For me it has been Golf but I'm sure your way is fun as well. :laugh2:

how do you get the ladies to get into your car? I am assuming you have some conveyance in which to ply your . . . hobby.

I pull out the guitar and play what my wife refers to as devil music. I also hop on Battlefield Bad Company 2 and issue death wholesale.

You know. Anything to curb the aggression. :)

This has been a long week. Plus I am ticking a few of my clients off because I havent been able to focus and get any work done this week.

Waiting for MNF is painful. The bye week is painful. This week is easy.

No, my brother.
I am waiting to see the Cowboys defense unwind from its tight circle of power and might and mow down anything on the offensive team.
I am waiting to see the Cowboys offense have the option of our 3 gifted backs or our three gifted receivers (and I do not mean Roy).
I am waiting to see our special teams come up big!
I am waiting for that big lug, Wade, to do a fist pump. It means something good has happened.

No, my brother.
This is the longest week. Before the Real Thing Starts! I can just taste the beer and them Austrian pretzels and the guacamole and the sour kraut and mustard.
NFL Sunday.
Cowboys and Skins. What kin be better and so anticipated!!?

I disagree. The longest week will be next would if we lose.

This week is worse than the bye imo. I can get by watching various interesting non cowboys games during the bye. Right now, however, all I can do is... well, nothing but be miserable.

Usually it's a very painful week. But this week has been the most different week I have ever had in my entire existence. My wife just gave birth to our first child on Sept 7th at 8:41 pm. We have a daughter!

7 lbs. 6 oz. - 19 1/2 inches long. I couldn't be more proud. I get to help bring her home tomorrow afternoon.

She'll get to be a part of her first Cowboys game this Sunday night. How special is that? Not that she'll remember, but dad will always be there to remind her. :)

You must enjoy throwing kitties in the dumpster too?

Congratulations Fletch! Remember to boo whenever the Commanders have the ball. It is never too early for children to learn the fundamentals through repetition. :)

I would include RW in that because if he and Romo get it together our team benefits greatly.
