The loss hurts, but maybe this is just what this team needs

Our downfall started when we had 13 players make the probowl last year. Since then the Roy Williams(SS) complex has spread through this entire team. Not to mention drive up their salary artificially.

Roy Williams would make the probowl every year, so why would he put in that extra effort during the summer to put himself ahead of the competition. After all, he did make the probowl. He is a natural athelete. He even admitting blowing up like a ballon two summers ago and going a crash diet right before training camp. That preceded his worst year.

Romo looks like he has never seen the inside of a weightroom and maybe should talk to Owens about recommeding a good dietician and trainer. This isn't golf Romo.

Maybe a little humbe pie will change their mindset and train like they have something to prove.

There is a fine line that seperates teams and players in this league, and this team was simply full of themself going into this season. The hype killled us!

This year it started with Jerry sellling "Super Bowl or Bust Ts" at Cowboys Training Camp.

You know the three Super Bowls were nice but what has Jery Jones done since then?

13 years without a Play-Off win and I've finally had the realization after all this time of wanting to believe different, Jones is very bad for any football franchise and it's frankly very embarassing to have him as an Owner/GM of my Dallas Cowboys.

As much as I hate to admit it, maybe we all (certainly myself included) just overestimated the talent on the team. It certainly appears that we just aren't as good as we all thought. The coaching staff certainly bears a good portion of the responsibility for the failure this season has become, but I just don't think our players are what we thought they were. Romo crumbles in big spots, Barber isn't the barbarian we all dubbed him, the O line speaks for itself, our secondary can't stay healthy or cover a circus clown, and our linebackers can't tackle my great aunt. What we appear to have is a bunch of overpaid, self absorbed football players that bought into all the hype surrounding the team. They don't have any focus, any pride, and obviously any heart. That pretty much sums it up. As it stands, I don't see anything changing next year either.

Oh yea, we also have a bunch of WRs that like to ***** about EVERYTHING, but can't get open to save their lives. When they do, they can't hold onto the damn ball. Great combination, huh. Players with heart??? Witten, Ware, Ratliff, Choice......that may be just about it.

I'm not pinning any losses on one player in particular. Simply stating the leaders of this team set the tone for the rest of the players. I just don't think Roy's heart is in it anymore, and it shows on the field. This team lacks intensity and desire.

Our downfall started when Jimmy left.

The Dallas Cowboys are not a TEAM. They don't play like a team, they don't win or lose like a team, they don't think like a team. They are a group of talented individuals who are all concerned with themselves.

I hated listening to Brian Dawkins in the postgame interview when all he talked about was how they felt as a team. I can't stand the Eagles but they pulled together yesterday and won a game they had to win. We have a lot more talent than they do yet we can't seem to get it together. When we lose everyone, including the owner, points fingers.

It starts right there, with Jerry Jones. He is NOT a football guy. He is a wealthy fan who thinks he knows what is best for the team but he thinks like a businessman first who has the dollar as his bottom line, not winning. Jerry is still under the delusion that he had something to do with our winning 3 SBs but his only contribution was in paying the bills, which is all an owner is supposed to do. But he thinks that it was somehow his football acumen that won those titles for us.

Until Jerry dies or sells the team (which isn't very likely) this is what we will have to live with folks. Maybe lightning will strike him and he will have an epiphany and change his ways, turn the team over to Stephen and just sit in his luxury suite and watching the games.

He loves the limelight too much, he loves being the center of attention, the face of the Dallas Cowboys too much for him to ever give it up or change it. So get used to it folks.

Well Roy didn't play most of the season and wasn't with the team, hell he tried to play with a broken arm, so how did he spread anything? Pick another lamb to sacrifice.

My bad, I thought the season started in training camp .....I was simply using him as an example. My point was that 13 players made the probowl, and they got full of themselves. Yesterday, they looked unprepared, worn down, and mentally drained. Meanwhile the Eagles looked like they were warming up for the playoffs. This team is uninspired, lacks motivation, and looks a step behind most talented teams they've faced.

Next years Camp CupCake and another year of Powdered Creme Puff Off-Season isn't gonna help matters.
