The Love for drafting OL in round one?

Me either. But do you think he makes it to 12? I'd love it.
From what hearing/reading he's the top graded OLman by some gurus. Some say he has elite potential at guard or tackle. This kid IMO could give our OLine a lot of options. ( replace Martin, Steele or even Guyton )

I think we have too many other needs than to draft OL in the first round. We just signed Jones thank goodness he's actually played some NFL football, and they have Nathan Thomas who they drafted last year (may have been an UDFA) not sure. If they have a plan to put this player at guard fine I get it, but i'd rather us use the pick on WR/DB/DT then to go this route. We've drafted OL early in recent years getting Smith and Guyton, I think it's time to focus elsewhere for now. YES FIXING THE trenches are important!!!!!! (did you hear me!!!!!?)
I think it's just based on the fact that we lost a future Hall-of-Famer and we may be replacing him with UDFAs. That rightfully scares fans.

I feel good enough about our depth to not be concerned about the OL ... this year.

I mean, I think we have two or three options at LT: Guyton, Richards, Smith

Two or three options at LG: Smith, Richards, Bass

Two options at C: Beebe and Hoffman

Two or three options at RG: Hoffman, Bass and Richards

And two options at RT: Steele and Guyton

And that's not including the FA guard/tackle we picked up, Robert Jones, or the draft pick we didn't get to see because of injury, Nathan Thomas.

I'm not opposed to drafting an OL late, but it also wouldn't bother me to let the line settle out, figure out what we've got and address it next year.

Membou is a monster and if he's there at 12 don't question it, just pick him.

That being said, it's time to develop what they have on the OL. A bunch of young guys that need some seasoning, so happy to have Adams n Riley.

Would love to get NT Kenneth Grant or Tyleik Williams in the 1st round to reinforce the trenches then go after all the other stuff.
Totally agree

Guyton was a traits based prospect with limited experience playing high level football, none of which was at LT. He then had a very rocky rookie season that brought up new questions about his toughness/ability to deal with injuries.- Is there a chance he figures it out and becomes a good LT? Of course, but it’s probably 50/50 bust possibility if you’re being honest.

Hoffman and Bass are good cheap backups, nothing more.

Jones is a mediocre stop-gap vet.

We should 100% get out of Steele’s contract after this coming season.

Honestly, sounds like a lot of fans are going with the “we like our guys” mentality when it comes to O-line. Won’t shock me if we are looking for 2 new full time OL starters next off-season if nothing is done this draft.

NEW OL coach. You seem to forget that.
That is why taking a year to fully evaluate what we got is smart.
Also, this team is not going to be fixed in one year.
