The lowly Giants; The Saints are up Next!

If we stop Reggie Bush we will beat the Saints. It's that simple. The MIDGETS game is actually a good primer for playing the Saints because preparing for Tiki Barber is a good test for facing another good RB in Bush. Also, here's to hoping that Shaun Payton works his December Magic and turns his offensive play calling from a carriage back into a pumpkin - like he seems to do every December.

Go Cowboys!

I agree. We don't even have to worry about pro bowl quarterback and possible league MVP Drew Brees. Just stop Bush.

Or Deuce McAllister. Let's not worry about him.

No kidding. Bush hasn't even had a small hand in the majority of their wins this season. He has one great game, and suddenly he's what makes the Saints tick?

Brees has been turning seemingly sub-par receivers into 150-yard performers almost every week. That's my concern, especially against a defense that has been prone to giving up some big plays this season - albeit earlier this year.

Drew Brees is the key, Bush hasn't run on anyone (knock on wood) but as a pass catcher he has made some plays. Rattle Brees and assume a comfortable lead to make Deuce McAllister neutral and to keep the ball from the hands of their three playmaking wideouts Joe Horn, Colston, and Copper.

Payton really has brought good balance to the Saints offense, Brees just like Romo is the key.

Crush him and score many many points.

This is my darkhorse prediction for the NFC Championship game matchup. I see Dallas hopefully edging NO sunday and NO going into Soldier Field in January and bringing the Championship Game to Texas Stadium for a rematch.

These Saints are marching and they may well be the second best team in the NFC.

or how about terrance copper, scott shanle, scott fujita...

blah blah blah i will refuse to believe that any team w/ shanle and fujita seeing significant roles will beat us. They have a lot of weapons on Offense, but we should be able to handle them:starspin

I won't lie. New Orleans scares me. I really do respect what they're doing there. It's hard to truly dislike Payton, Brees and Co.

I thought the Saints might be heading down the crapper a few weeks ago when they lost a few. But they've rebounded very nicely and have solidified themselves as a true NFC contender.

My fear? Brees' long ball against us. Not to mention Payton knowing Romo's game like perhaps no other coach in this league. Might he help their defense scheme a way to stop him?

My hope? It's a home game and New Orleans' defense is fairly porous. Opportunistic at times but it can be beat.

This would be a great scenario.
We're going to have to be creative with our blitz packages again like we were against the Colts. If we let Brees have the kind of time Eli had today, it's going to be a long, long, brutal day.

The Saints are a helluva lot better then the Giants, and we barely beat those guys.

hes refuring to the saints, they are a one year wonder so far, like the 03 cowboys were, granted they have a MUCH better QB and their WR is better then our Number 1 wr in 03, but our Defense was MMUCH better

The 2003 team reversed i should've said, solid defense but Quincy Carter offense. The Saints have a mediocre defense but a great offense and more importantly a quarterback, if Brees was on the 2003 Cowboys they would've probably won a playoff game. All healthy speculation but I remain convinced it is the quarterbacking primarily.

What those guys are doing in N.O. is truly inspiring. I cheer for the Saints almost as hard as I do for my Cowboys.

I kind of have a man crush for Brees. We both played on the same team in highschool (he was one year younger but our starting QB). It's funny when I look back, I actually made him carry my pads in practice a few times (rookie hazing). Brees is a winner, like Romo. It will be an awesome game for sure.
