The Man Thread

Workin' for tips. Not that you don't smell nice, Cajun.

As far as scents go, most of the time I go with Jack Daniels and then the aerosol version of whatever it was I had for lunch. Seems to work.

:lmao2:

I use a body wash my mom bought from this handmade soap store Lush. I always get compliments.

Sounds like she was looking to get tipped well.

I use the gillette body wash too. It definitely helps preventing your skin from feeling dried out. Also, it always puts a grin on my face whenever I get in the car and my wife says "you smell nice" after I've used it. Women notice. It's a winner.

I just use Irish Spring soap. Because its made for a man, but women like it too...

Old Spice has some good smelling body washes. I like the Fiji.
Pacific Surge...match up the body wash and deodorant and you're set.

I use Game Day for special occasions.

lol, I saw Man Thread and thought we'd be talking cars or something. Instead you guys are talking body wash! You should all be ashamed of yourselves. :laugh2:

Actually, I could use some advice. I'm looking to buy a portable grill for bbqing on the roof deck of our condo complex (as well as the park). It'd have to be something relatively discrete, since it's probably not legal but also easy to clean up and doesn't require a whole lot of maintenence.

Also wondering if propane vs coal makes a huge difference in terms of taste... I want to go coal, but propane is probably easier to manage.

Any ideas? I was looking at this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00004RALJ/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?ie=UTF8&m=ATVPDKIKX0DER

I think coal can taste better if you know how to cook with it.

I don't so I haven't really ever been interested in a coal grill myself. Maybe some point down the road.

Just from a practical standpoint, propane is going to be about 10X cleaner, easier and safer.

Why not get the propane version of the grill you linked.

Kind of funny that the charcoal grill is only $10 cheaper than the propane one.

I picked up something like that a while back for liked $30 at a department store because I needed a small grill that I could move out of sight. My apartment didn't allow for grilling near the complex and all I had was a balcony.

Actually turned out to be one of the best grills I've ever used.

The tanks are small, cost about $6 for two of them and last about 7-10 cookouts. Plus, if you forget to turn the grill off you've only wasted $3 in propane instead of an entire tank.

It heated up quick and got back up to cooking temperature quickly after closing the lid.

I turned out some excellent steaks on that thing.

Getting coals prepped is a pain, IMO. Probably the main reason why I'm not very solid at cooking with them.

Couldn't you go with the propane and use coal anyway. Just throw the coals in there and start em up with propane.

Wouldn't that give you the ability to use coal if you wanted to at the park or where ever and the ability to use propane on the deck?

If it were me, I wouldn't want to have to hassle with starting the coals and disposing of them when I'm done if I am not supposed to be grilling up there. Too much work and coals can put off a lot of additional odor and smoke.

I use Sex Panther cologne.

It's illegal in nine countries... Yep, it's made with bits of real panther, so you know it's good.

60 percent of the time, it works every time.

Are you as pumped for the sequel as I am?

I'm totally pumped, man! Long overdue. Did you see him on Conan? Fantastic.

Count, without a doubt charcoal adds flavor. But back in the day my dad had a small portable propane grill that folded up into a red case. Didn't look like a grill until you opened it up. Perfect for a small patio or trip to the park or something. I think it was by Coleman. Not sure though.

But I would pick up one of those simple charcoal grills from Lowes that aren't that expensive. They close up and roll away when you don't need them. Some of the best tailgating on one of those things.

A good smelling cologne or body wash can be a major turn on. Armani on men is my favorite.

And so not what I thought was going to read about when I clicked on this thread. :lmao:

Most Armani guys are not into women.

Thread title should have added a disclaimer.

I've gotten similar results with Right Guard deodorant spray:laugh2:

If you want something that is big enough to do steaks and other larger meats they have different sizes of this product...

http://www.amazon.com/Weber-Baby-100-Portable-Grill/dp/B0000E6GHI

We have a Weber BabyQ for traveling and use it on the deck when it is just the four of us. We have a larger grill for entertaining but these are great. They can hook up to the 20# propane jugs but can also be hooked up to the smaller portable canisters for taking to the park.

They also can set on the top of a picnic table but you can also get the optional cart for when you are at home and it is at the normal height of a regular grill.
