The Marion Barber TD run...

I wonder if Fasano will get chance to catch the ball in this game. Gotta figure Dolphins will double TO & try doubling Witten, that should enable our running game to do pretty good and leave Fasano along with Crayton & Hurd to get a lot of action. Of course no way can the Dolphins stop TO & Witten at the same time but Tony needs make sure he protects the ball and doesn't toss a lot of INTs.

A couple of things about that play.

It looks to me like a simple dive.

Looks like the giants had a slant called for Strahan, which was the right call to defend that play.

Strahan's slant took him right into the hole that it looks like the play was designed to go. In doing so he took on two blockers, leaving the LB one on one with the runner if he bounces it outside.

The LB was late getting out, it was as if he was thinking the defense was playing straight up instead of slanting. Or maybe Strahan took it on his own to Slant instead of playing his responsibility, and the LB was not ready for it.

Great block by Fasano, just how it's taught, when someone slants on you, drive them hard in the direction they want to go.

Anyone that doesn't think Hoyte made solid contact with Strahan also, watch how Hoytes head snaps back on contact. IMO, Fasano did not need any help, he had Strahan handled, but Hoyte did help flatten him.

I also like how Hoyte kept looking for other Giants to block.

a 2nd round TE actually made a block? GAME BREAKER.

On a future Hall of Fame Defensive End on a critical 4th and 1.

Yeah.

We all know the only reason why Fasano was able to take out Strahan is because Strahan missed TC/Practice/Pre-Season.:lmao2: Gaptain California
