Well the inevitable happened. Tyron Smith will miss games this season. He will basically miss the year and retire. He tore the meat off the bone with a hamstring pull. Jerry Dumbo GM Jones tore the meat off the bone after the playoff lost last year.

Jerry just move Steele to LT and Lael Collins your LG to RT. Or you can make your 1st round pick Smith your LG your LT and keep Lael Collins at LG. Oh no Jerry Dumbo GM Jones cut Collins.

Maybe you can trade your overstock of WRs. Oh no Jerry Dumbo GM Jones traded Amari Cooper.

Jerry just learned why Tex Schramm, Gil Brandt, and Tom Landry did not trade or cut the starters that lost 3 straight NFC Championship games to make a point. After losing a NFL Championship, 3 Conference Championships, and a Super Bowl, they kept adding to the roster and eventually won their first Super Bowl in 1972 . The only player that was on that losing NFL Championship team in 1966 that was not on the team for the 1971-72 season was Don Meredith and his back up Craig Morton got them to the 1971 Super Bowl.

You do not build a roster letting go good football players because the lost a game. The cut and trades of Collins and Cooper was Dumbo Stupid and now it is time to pay for Dumb stupidity.

OK let me tell you what to do dumbo GM...Go sign Isaiah Wilson, sign and convert Rico Gathers to OL, and hope that Cincy cuts Collins to sign him. Neither of the things I am saying is in the realm of reality...neither is a winning season because the "meat was tore off the bone".

Maybe tyron smith was always destined to be the leagues best tight end of all Time. He came in the league super lean. Google tyron smith shirtless usc

So realistically is he done or is he coming back healthy next season? If he's done what is the cap implications?

I remember when we drafted him and thinking we really need to put some weight on this frame, you are correct.
He needed a few biscuits for sure.
Dont believe we will ever see Tyron line up again at LT for this team, so Im just hoping this forum here respects that and we can move forward.
