I remember when we drafted him and thinking we really need to put some weight on this frame, you are correct.
He needed a few biscuits for sure.
Dont believe we will ever see Tyron line up again at LT for this team, so Im just hoping this forum here respects that and we can move forward.
I went into last offseason proclaiming we needed to assume tyron health would be a bonus but to prepare for the season without him. Sucks

It does indeed friend, this will be no easy void to overcome and fill.
Losing your LT is only about as devastating as losing your starting QB to be quite honest.
As Cowboys fans, we should all be really thankful with our first round selection now.

Well the inevitable happened. Tyron Smith will miss games this season. He will basically miss the year and retire. He tore the meat off the bone with a hamstring pull. Jerry Dumbo GM Jones tore the meat off the bone after the playoff lost last year.

Jerry just move Steele to LT and Lael Collins your LG to RT. Or you can make your 1st round pick Smith your LG your LT and keep Lael Collins at LG. Oh no Jerry Dumbo GM Jones cut Collins.

Maybe you can trade your overstock of WRs. Oh no Jerry Dumbo GM Jones traded Amari Cooper.

Jerry just learned why Tex Schramm, Gil Brandt, and Tom Landry did not trade or cut the starters that lost 3 straight NFC Championship games to make a point. After losing a NFL Championship, 3 Conference Championships, and a Super Bowl, they kept adding to the roster and eventually won their first Super Bowl in 1972 . The only player that was on that losing NFL Championship team in 1966 that was not on the team for the 1971-72 season was Don Meredith and his back up Craig Morton got them to the 1971 Super Bowl.

You do not build a roster letting go good football players because the lost a game. The cut and trades of Collins and Cooper was Dumbo Stupid and now it is time to pay for Dumb stupidity.

OK let me tell you what to do dumbo GM...Go sign Isaiah Wilson, sign and convert Rico Gathers to OL, and hope that Cincy cuts Collins to sign him. Neither of the things I am saying is in the realm of reality...neither is a winning season because the "meat was tore off the bone".
The fans are the ones that will suffer because of poor front office decisions.
Meanwhile Jerry can bask in the fact the team is worth 8 Billion Dollars.

I'm thinking this will be the last year Tyron watches the team play. It's frustrating, but he has Sean Lee Syndrome.

I appreciate all Tyrone has done for this team I really do.
It's a shame we have no decent back up in place for him.
Hope Dak can run real real fast, cause he going to be running for his life!

Well, I know what position our first-round pick is going to be in 2023.

Damn, that was nothing. Just demonstrates he was bound to go down sooner or later. At least, we are completely unprepared.
I kept looking at the tape - still dont know how he got hurt so bad, what, did he not even stretch since last season.

Football players lift so much that you have to get them into a heavy dudy stretching routine or yoga...something, especially when they get older.

It took me one bad hammy pull to make me a true believer.

Yeah I spend a good 15-20 minutes stretching before I work out, a few times a week. If I don't I can feel the tension and get body aches in my old age.

Tyron is a freaking specimen though. Hard to believe he doesn't take excellent care of himself.

Far as I can see a sniper got him.
