IMO, this was THE game going into the "stretch". Perfect by week to start a authentic "second half" of the season. Phily (records be damned) on the road on Sunday night.......a notorious hard game for Dallas. And not only a win, but a spanking.
No, I'm officially "on board now, ala 1992-1995. Cowboy die-hard and all , but I'm the kind so used to championships (fan since 1964), that I'm usually their biggest critic. Not wanting to be "left at the alter" and all.
Different, more mature team than last year. Last year, right about now, the slide began due to Parcells and immaturity. Parcells, because "wins be damned", he was gonna' do it his way. Didn't play to our strengths. That being, that Parcells was going to "establish" the run and diss his own players because "his way" was more important than wins.
Now, we play to our strengths. Romo is a playmaker and keeps plays alive. Put the ball in the hands of playmakers........run the ball of course, but in any 3-play set, if Romo has the ball, theres a ten yard pass there. Play to your strengths!
I'm prepared to start carrying on and spouting off about "home field advantage" and a SB appearance. I'm also prepared to start talking about beating the Patriots or Colts in the SB.
