The media is primed to start a Scandrick/Jenkins conspiracy

The local media LOVES this stuff. Especially with TO gone. They are looking for more juice. And of course they will do it under the mantra "just giving the fans what they want" (Actually, all I want just want someone on the field that can do the job, and whomever the staff decides it will be I will get behind 100%)I hope you guys can see what I see coming a mile away. Jenkins is in a no win situation. He is a 1st rounder. Scandrick is a 5th rounder. Scandrick may or may not be better than him. Heck Scandrick might be his equal. But they are going to pick, poke and prod Scandrick about being bypassed because of his draft staus if Jenkins wins the job. Or they are going to pick, poke and prod Jerry/Wade about a draft gaffe if Scandrick beats Jenkins out.

If some of you argue that is the media's job, fine. But for whatever reason Jerry and Wade have not shown the ability to ward off all of the nonsense bs long winded chatter. Heck Jerry himself, for no other reason other than he probably he had few too many, brings up Pac Man Jones...it just stuns me how badly he is fading. Dare I say he is approaching Al Davis territory? Not saying he is close, but he really has lost his fastball.

What this team needs right now is 100% focus on football...both on and off the field. And Wade better nip this in the bud NOW by responding to the whole Scandrick/Jenkins story in a manner that lets the media know that he is the coach, he is in charge, the guy best suited for the job will start, the other will be the nickle and he is not going to waste time going down a slope that the media is trying to make as slippery as possible so they can pounce.

just keep reading. They know how to angle questions...and I have already seen them do it with Jenkins and Scandrick when it comes to there competition for the starting job. The 53 men in that lockeroom are TEAMMATES. And clearly this team has shown the propensity to ALLOW the media to divide them. There are plenty of players in the NFL that are media savy enough to avoid all of the traps they set. But I cannot say that for everyone. Just a couple of weeks ago they baited TO into a non-story about Romo referring to TO as "him". Now TO is easy, so the media should not getting a pat on the back for sucking him in. But you notice how Romo did not ALLOW himself to be drug back into that sorry excuse for a "story"?

On a serious note.

I think they will be a little more busy with Tony Romo, either talking about his off the field activities, on the field situations and his work with Roy Williams and the other WRs.

Then there will be the Felix and Choice vs Marion Barber stories.

There will also be the Wade Phillips stories, will he improve the defense, will the DC and HC jobs be too much for him.

There will also be the Redball stories and how he does or does not improve the offense.

There will be plenty of things to go around, not just a scandrick/jenkins agenda.

Now the jenkins/scandrick competition is an interesting one to be sure it does not have to be an agenda thing but I am sure it will be turned into one as a side story but I doubt it reaches the levels of the other ones I mentioned above.

you are probably right....but I just this is too juicy in there minds to let it slide...especially if Scandrink looks to be better than Jenkins, yet Jenkins wins the job anyway. The stories are probably already written about Jerry calling the shots to justify drafting Jenkins before Scandrick, therefore Jerry demands Jenkins be the starter. Wade is Jerrys puppet....yada yada yada.

Then they will saddle up to Scandrick and try to get him to say something contreversial about losing the job to Jenkins. All I am saying is that I see it coming a mile away, because the media has already attached themseleves to the fact that Scandrick is better. Plus it makes for a better story since he is a 5th rounder. These types of things are way too predictable.
