Using the PFN draft simulator fill the holes and develop a roster using the following parameters.

DLaw or Amari is cut to save cap room. You pick.

You get the choice of re-signing one top level FA . Ex Gregory or Schultz

or 3 lower level FA's example Anger, Kazee etc.

Consider RFA's and ERFA's as re-signed.

Can I keep DLaw and Amari and let Gregory / Schultz walk? BC if we let 1 of our best players go on either side of the ball I might just change teams I root for.

Losing Amari or Tank wouldn’t be on the top 100 of things to quit rooting for this team for

Losing our WR1 and our best DE would set this team back…we have a window to win now while Tyron and Martin are still on the team to protect Dak. I’m going all in the next 3 years.

You won’t be. You are quitting. One , if not both, will be gone.

If we’re releasing both Cooper and Lawrence it means they are probably going to keep Gregory, Kearse, and probably Wilson. That means they’ll probably address both early in the draft. Who knows what the heck this front office will do. I don’t think as highly of these 2 players as some do on this board. Between FA and the draft you can replace these guys. Just have to wait and see.

Restructure Dak, Martin, LCollins, and TSmith. -- this gives you over 5M of cap space.
Restrutcure Coop, this adds 12+M more. So you have 17.9M available.
Restructure DLaw and now you have 26M
Sign Armstrong (8) , Kearse (5), Anger (1.5), Watkins (3), McQuaide (1) and the RFA Gifford, Hyatt and EFRA Bernard ( together 2.5)
Sign VonMiller to 3 yrs 50M with this year costing Dallas (15) against the cap.

Draft: I decided on no trades
24: R1 P24 C Tyler Linderbaum - Iowa or Green - Texas A&M
56: R2 P24 DL Jordan Davis - Georgia
88: R3 P24 TE Jeremy Ruckert - Ohio State
126: R4 P24 LB Brandon Smith - Penn State
142: R4 P40 LB Damone Clark - LSU
166: R5 P24 OT Kellen Diesch - Arizona State
202: R6 P23 TE Jake Ferguson - Wisconsin

Then when you see what Ruckert and Ferguson can do -- cut Jarwin - saves 4M
Cut Greg the Leg and sign a K for 1.5M (saves 1.5M)
Cut 7 of the lower end players to include CB Goodwin (1.9), Will Grier (1), Dinucci (1)

You would still have a few M$ left over, and keep both the players. None of the restructures I have listed have contracts past 2025.

Offense (25)
QB Dak Prescott - Cooper Rush - #3
RB Ezekiel Elliott - Tony Pollard - NRalston
WR Amari Cooper - Malik Turner
WR CeeDee Lamb - Simi Fehoko
WR TJ Vasher
TE Ruckert - Ferguson -Jeremy Sprinkle - Sean McKeon
LT Tyron Smith - Ball - (Kellen Diesch and Hyatt-Practice Squad developmental)
LG Matt Farniok - Alarcon (Green starts if it was him)
C Tyler Linderbaum -Tyler Biadasz(chance to start LG) (if it was Green, then Biadasz starts and Fariniok gets his chance)
RG Zack Martin - Connor McGovern
RT La'el Collins - Terence Steele

Run and pass.

Defense (25)
DE DeMarcus Lawrence -Tarell Basham- Carlos Watkins
DT Neville Gallimore - Osa Odighizuwa --Trysten Hill
DT JDavis - Quinton Bohanna
DE Von Miller - Dorance Armstrong - Chauncey Golston
OLB Micah Parsons - Luke Gifford
MLB DClark -Francis Bernard
OLB JCox - Brandon Smith
CB Kelvin Joseph
NB Anthony Brown - Jourdan Lewis - Nahshon Wright
CB Trevon Diggs
SS Jayron Kearse - Israel Mukuamu
FS Donovan Wilson

Special Teams (3)
K New Kicker
P Bryan Anger
LS Jake McQuaide

Lots of rotation and lots of pressure.

The first thing I would do is release Philbin and bring in someone like Mike Munchak. Our OL play looked way too sloppy this year for a SB run.
Keep D Law and his 7 games and 3 sacks hopefully he can play 10+ games next year. It really worries me that we probably won't have our best WR next year. I don't think they'll be able to replace him in the draft.
Keep Dalton Schultz Dak's security blanket
Re-Sign Kearse, Kazee, and Wilson

Draft (no trades)
Treylon Burks WR 8 yards per rush and 16.7 yards per catch

Zion Johnson OG

Boye Mafe Edge 7 sacks and 10 tackles for loss

Jesse Luketa LB 61 tackles 8.5 tackles for loss

Josh Paschal Edge 5 sacks 15 tackles for loss

Max Mitchell OT
Jashaun Corbin RB

starting line-up:
offense:

qb-Dak
rb-Zeke
wr-Lamb
wr-Burks (R)
wr-Wilson
te-Schultz
ot-Smith (let Ball Compete with Smith who won't play a full season anyway)
og-Johnson (R)
c-Farniok (let him compete with Biadasz who was below average)
og-zack martin
ot-la'el collins (Let Steele Compete with Collins especially if he comes in out of shape)

defense:
de-dlaw
dt-neville gallimore
dt-osa odighizuwa
de-Chauncey Golston (On passing downs Boye Mafe or Josh Paschal)
lb-jabril cox
lb-micah parsons
cb-trevon diggs

Let me play along. My goal is to become more physical and my off-season priority is to fix the run game. My scenario has Moore becoming the new HC in Miami, MM becoming the new playcaller, Philbin as his OC and a new OL coach being brought in.

In-House Fa's signed-Gregory, Wilson, Hooker, Anger, McQuaide.
Paycut/Restructure-DLaw
Cuts-Lewis, Jarwin, Zuerline
Free Agency-Ryan Jensen, Jewel

Draft

1-Burks WR Arkansas
2-Kinnard G Kentucky
3-Ruckert TE Ohio State
4-Ridgeway NT Arkansas
5-Heyward FB Michigan State
6-Dicker PK Texas

Starting Lineup:

QB-Dak
RB-Zeke
FB-Heyward (MM likes the use of the FB)
TE-Ruckert
WR-Lamb, Burks (Wilson in the slot)
LT-Tyron
LG-Kinnard
C-Jenson
RG-Martin
RT-Collins

DE-Tank/Gregory
DT-Ridgeway, Osa
LB-Parsons, Jewel (Cox nickel)
CB-Diggs, Joseph
Slot-Brown
S-Hooker, Wilson

ST's-Dicker, Anger, McQuaide

What does the cap look like in 2023 and 2024 now that you have pushed forward $52 mil and added Von Miller?

How much does the cap go up with the new TV contracts?
My way, you either Win and push it till you stop winning, or you find out quickly and take a year or two to burn it down (get good draft choices) and start all over.

If Jerry truly believes in the players he has paid stupid amounts of money and the coaching staff he has, then let's win or let's start all over.

If you push 54 mil into future years you can't burn it down. You end up with a ton of contracts like Zekes where cutting them saves nothing. You can't start over. You can't even get under the cap in 2023. Try it yourself. Make the changes you have suggested and see what it does.

This would be a tremendous off-season Hall. I think the FA side is waaay to optimistic. Fatukasi and Jensen would be great. Oluokun is a young emerging player that could get a really good pay day.
