The more I like Jerry. If Jerry was to sign a glass necked QB that missed all of last season and still isn't 100% (and probably won't be again) he would get absolutely crucified by the fanbase, but when other teams are mentioned it would be an awesome move by them:laugh1:

The QB situation is one thing Jerry is doing very right.

If we didn't have Romo I don't doubt we'd be in the mix as well.

not sure where your going with this because the team who gets Manning probably is a playoff team this season and more importantly he changes their culture over-night. Dallas would only be too lucky to have a player come in with that kind of impact.

But your right...Dallas will stay where they are at and keep resigning Spears and Spencers of the world and keep having these conversations about how on earth they keep missing the playoffs each year.

I love Jerry also. 16 years with a single playoff win, and 8-8 last year.

Years in the QB netherland, and lucky to land Tony Romo who he's wasting right now.

Yep, I love Jerry Jones. What a wonderful job he's done.

There is no way we're a playoff team even with Peyton, have you seen our defense? Peyton would be on IR in 4 games with our o-line.

i dont get where people get this idea that he is glass necked. all reports i have heard are that his neck will actually be stronger than it was before.

I just saw this on another Cowboys site:

I work with neurosurgeons who do this type of surgery and have for 15+ years and Peyton is DONE. Even if his surgeon cleared him to play the NFL doctors won't. Some stupid team might pressure their docs to clear him and go for the bait but they will regret it. So will Peyton. One wrong hit and he IS Christopher Reeves. NO patient who has 3 or 4 of these surgeries in addition to a "mystery" procedure has the adequate neck rotation to play pro football without a serious injury. Second he still has nerve damage in his arm and can't feel the ball. He won't publicly discuss it because if he did NO other team would consider him. If he were even remotely healthy Indianapolis would keep him.

That's because many aren't just football experts that know more than the FO and coaches but are also medical experts as well. Plus they can all sing and dance.

Well, another way to look at it is, if it wasn't for Jerry we most likely would just have 2 Lombardis..so it's a catch 22

In 4 years, that's still a 16 year drought. Obviously he's doing something right.

Maybe he can tackle and play defense like Romo is expected to do here:laugh1:

The Dr. who posted below you seems to disagree.

:lmao: Not in an active NFL QB....if you have to have titanium placed in your neck, you might want to atleast "consider" retirement

We know nothing of the procedures he's had or what exactly his signs and symptoms are except for the numbness on the right. Without that information including all his studies then we are completely in the dark.

I seriously doubt any reputable doctor is going to give clearance for him to play professional football with the likelihood of serious injury and sequalae.

So I really know nothing more than the rest of us but I do know the second sentence is almost certainly correct within a reasonable degree of certainty.

He would be crucified because we already have Tony Romo. Other teams are dying for a solid QB. Do you really not understand the difference?
