The more im totally sold on signing Julian Peterson and drafting Bobby carpenter! Heres why. I think were in a WIN NOW mode, but still looking toward the future. Julian Peterson IMO would be a perfect fit in our 3-4. He can run, cover with the very best, tackle, and rush the passer some. Perfect guy opposite Ware. Carpenter IMO would be better served playing on the inside. With his size/speed he could dominate there. Draft guides Ive seen would suggest nothing but his versatility and no reason whatsoever he couldnt make the switch. The guy is 255 pounds. Let him and Burnett battle it out for the starters role in the middle. The other guy will still get some playing time anyway. Think of it. From left to right......Peterson....Carpenter...James...Ware. NASTY GOOD. I could see Burnett coming in on the nickle as he seems to be pretty good in coverage.
