The most asinine thing I've ever seen from a team...

even if Price were to make that catch, he wouldn't suddenly find his playing time increased as much as some on here want

btw, I'm not disagreeing with your point, just pointing out the bigger part

Uh, how can you say that? That's exactly what gets you playing time on a Parcells team. Catching the ball and making first downs and touchdowns. Not giving up on a difficult grab in the end zone. I was a big supporter of Price, but he's showing us all on the field why Crayton beat him out for the job. He doesn't "want it as bad" as Crayton.

Lets see price route running has not been great; he does not give that extra fight for the ball and oh yea Price does not give good effort blocking on running plays. Price does not take short passes and shed guys to make 1st downs Price is one thing a deep threat wr that is it. Glen is better than Price therefore Price's role is limited

Signing a WR with the track record and talent of A Peerless Price and letting him rot away on the bench even while Crayton has been out some 5 weeks....

Not using him today was absurd.....You wanna know why we look lathargic? and slow and predictable? b/c that Big target Pat Crayton is out....and we miss him...but do we slide Price in???? NO!

B/C Payton and Parcells are unimaginative idiots....all one needs to do to confirm this is watch the 3 replays of JJ on the goal line...being stuffed over and over.

Fools the both of them.

I agree not using Price more is dumb. But we won today. I have complaints to but we won. I will save all the complaints for when we lose again.

VanTheMan, know what's also assinine? more than one post dedictated by you, to bashing an aspect of our team, AFTER A WIN, trust me, focus on the positives and you'll feel better
Do you think Parcells lets the team slide after this teams' medicore effort today; regardless of the win?

Did he let the team rest on their "accomplishments" after the Eagle win? Why can't a fellow fan blast an aspect of the Cowboys' position that has been lacking in Price? I, for one, expected more form Price. So far, he hasn't delivered, IMO.

we need to help the OTs, less 3-wr sets, and when Crayton was healthy, and wanting it as bad, we had Flozell and only had to protect one OT, now we have to protect 2

btw, I was never a Price supporter, and I've been on Crayton's bandwagon for awhile now, so it isn't about favoring Price over Crayton

I know you were high on Price...and I am surprised you have soured on him so much.

I didn't expect much from him to begin with and haven't noticed lackadaisical effort on his part..you have so I won't doubt you, but I do want to go back and see that swatted ball play. What quarter was it Kilyin?

No what gets you playing time, is playing hard in practice, and playing hard on every down. FD, TD's mean nothing, it's about the effort you give, and Price is doing just what got him sent home in ATL.... not giviong up effort. (Vick 306 yards....without Price... three straight games with 200+ yards.)

I'm not against pinpointing weaknesses in a win, just not by 1 person starting 2 or more threads about each and every single one, and yes, Price hasn't delivered, part him, and part that we need to protect our OTs

How did Crayton get the job to begin with dude? Parcells is a results oriented coach. Crayton proved himself as a 7th rounder who could deliver in the clutch during the Skins game. Crayton came in and played like he was drafted top of the line. I respected Price's reputation, I made a mistake. That dude is more hype than a Detroit Lions Superbowl campaign.

LTN: I don't know what quarter it was, but Bledsoe put the ball exactly where you have to put it, and Price just gave up on the route. If it had been Terry, he woulda had the TD. I guarantee you that.

Took the words out of my mouth. It isn't as if Parcells saw Crayton, got a man crush on him, and just gave him the job. Crayton fought hard to get his position, and when he heals, will continue to fight to climb up the depth chart.

I went to the game today and watched Price - I've never seen someone look so bored running a route. The sooner Crayton returns, the better. Someone said it best earlier - he no longer has the Vick excuse to shield him - Price is spare, at least here.

The very fact Bill kept a roster spot for PC open for so long indicated, imo, he is very aware of what Patrick will offer down the stretch, and that is superior to what Price will.

But I just haven't noticed Price dogging it...especially in reference to the non-blocking downfield rap in Atlanta. His blocking was even pointed out last week along with Key's by Madden or Michaels ..of course he didn't appear to relish it like Key does, but he has appeared to be willing.

I take your word for it, tho - you are watching him more intently than I am.

The only time I have paid attention to his blocking was last week - once on a Marion Barber run, then on a 14 yard pass to Key. he is 50-50

He just strikes me as a guy who is down and doesn't want to re-earn his start status.

He either thinks he is still a star and is getting dogged without warrant, or is down on himself and has lost confidence.

I watch a receiver when he runs routes, and Price just isn't running them. When TG, Key, or Crayton run a route, it's crisp and they don't see the defenders or hear footsteps and worry about "What's going to happen after I catch the pigskin?" Price is a girly man. He reminds me of Todd Pinkston. Mr. Alligator Arms. He hears the footsteps and feels the hit before they even happen. He's so busy bracing himself to hold on to the ball, that he can't even make the effort to catch it. He can block in the running game when he has to, but watch him when he knows he has to make that catch over the middle in the endzone.

He plays like Galloway did when he was here - he just wants to run straight and beat his guy. he has no concern with routes or getting open on anything other than speed.

That works for some people - Gruden loves it - Galloway is having a good year in TB.

But I don't want that kind of receiver, and I suspect that Tuna shares my sentiments.

Price is very quickly working his way out of the NFL. Notice how much better the punt returns were once we replaced him there? And yes, this offense does miss Crayton. I can't wait for him to come back. And once he does (probably against the Giants, I'm guessing), don't be surprised if Price is deactivated. And unless he really does something over these last 6 games, I'd be real surprised if the Cowboys offered him another contract next year.
