I swear, a mix of NFLDraftScout's top 750 list, and who Dallas has spoken to or has shown interest in

2nd round, #51: Western Michigan FS Louis Delmas >>ALT: Ohio State WR Brian Robiskie (trade-up)
3rd round (from Cleveland), #69: Oklahoma WR Juaquin Iglesias >>ALT: Georgia WR Mohamed Massaquoi/Wake Forest SS Chip Vaughn
4th round (from Detroit), #101: Texas Tech DE Brandon Williams >>ALT: Hawaii DE David Veikune
4th round, #117: North Carolina WR Brandon Tate >>ALT: North Carolina State TE Anthony Hill
5th round, #156: Maryland OG Jaimie Thomas
5th round (from Tennessee), #166: Texas Tech OG Louis Vasquez
5th round (Compensatory), #172: Memphis DT Clinton McDonald >>ALT: Florida Atlantic LB Frantz Joseph
6th round (from Miami), #197: Virginia TE John Phillips >>ALT: Temple DT Terrence Knighton
6th round (Compensatory), #208: Texas DE Henry Melton
7th round (from Detroit), #210: Louisville QB Hunter Cantwell >>ALT: Central Arkansas QB Nathan Brown
7th round, #227: Norfolk State CB Don Carey >>requisite small-school last pick >>ALT: Grand Valley State OLB Dan Skuta

let's do it!

I'd like to point out that OGs taken back-to-back may be overkill, but Vasquez has the size and athleticism to make a good RT, he could swing between OG and RT

I wouldn't mind that, but two WR's drafted would most likely signal the end of Hurd and/or Stanback on this squad.

Why are you sold on Sam Hurd? I see a journeymen reciever when I look at him. I'd much rather have Stanback make it, though I would not bet on it.

I'm not. I think we could do much better. I was just making a point that if two WR's are drafted, then Hurd is probably on his way out, which i don't have a problem with at all. The guy is slower than molasses.

I could live with this no problem Bob. Still think Jerry compulsively or impulsively trades up. Most intriguing pick is Carey.

We need a ILB someway..somehow..This draft is nice but has a few flaws like the overkill on guards that you mentioned. Wouldn't mind Brandon Williams and I don't like enrique..I mean Jaquin Iglesias at all. He's Patrick Crayton Jr.

That's potentially a lot of WRs taken in one draft.

he kind of reminds me of Mike Jenkins, good build, fast, great recovery speed, plus the dude is tremendously intelligent, could have went to Yale

I hate picking based on need, and didn't see BPA/Dallas' interest anywhere, except for Marcus Freeman, but we look more intent on getting a WR in this draft than an ILB

I like the draft but i think we should pick up antonio appleby in like the late 6th early seventh, because he has potential to fill in great in our scheme.

I really like that draft and your alternates, too!

If I were to make a few minor tweaks, though, just for my taste, I would take:

2) Delmas
3) Iglesia
4) Veikune
4) Tate
5) Thomas
5) Vasquez
5) Roy Miller
6) Appleby
6) Melton
7) Hoyer
7) Carey

I wouldn't complain with that

Bob, if your mock is going to be realistic, it has to take an ILB somewhere. Cowboys have looked at quite a few ILBs in this draft (Freeman, Beckwith, Williams).

3 WRS?? You obviously love WRs as much as I love LBs. :D

Henry Melton could play ILB, former RB so he knows how to move around in space

I think he could be that Bubble ILB in a 34. It depends on his lateral movement but I think he might be able to do it as well. He has all you need to cover a TE and he has good hands. You would have to teach him how to scrap and he would have to get much better at his tackling techniques but he could be very interesting as an ILB in a 34.

yessir, 10'01" broad-jump would really help him in coverage
