I think he would be because I don't believe there is any way that Murray could follow the season he just had (number of carries) with anything close to what we saw last year. I think that either way, Murray would have been splitting carries. You almost have to because if you don't, by 2016, he's done if you don't spread the load and then you have a significant amount of cap money invested in a back that is used up. JMO

I think you are spot on. The conundrum with signing Murray to a multi-year deal was that as soon as we sign him, we actually have to be concerned with his long-term health... which is pretty much the opposite of the way he was treated in 2014. No concern was given to his health at all, and he had a breakout year.

If we place more pressure on Romo to scramble around and make plays to win games, I am not sure we will be as successful as we were in years past..

Who said anything about that? Jeez it's not like we are going to start throwing the ball 50 times a game now.

One more pass attempt greater then last year is too many. The last thing I want to see is Romo in the pocket hanging on to the ball for just one more second waiting for someone to come open........imho, we will not win games if we revert back to that style of offense;

And, what I am saying is, I don't think we can even if we tried. The days of Romo in shootouts, like the 48-51 game against Denver are over. His body wont allow him to do those things anymore. And he certainly wont be able to do them week in and week out; In addition to that, if he goes down, we are done.

We need to protect him as much as possible. This team won by having a dominant running game...
They won for the first time in a very long time, with that formula;

We aren't the PATs, Romo isn't Rodgers, Brees, Luck, Peyton..... and we don't have Seattle's. Defense.

We won by running the ball. Any talk of Romo passing the ball more seems like a bad idea to me.

I think the Dallas Cowboys way to the Super Bowl is that OL and a Running back. 2 legit RBs is even better...... right now, everybody including coaches and staff are hoping for one to step up......

You know, if for any reason the Boys go back to 8-8; The FO and Cowboys are going to catch all kinds of criticism. The Leagues leading rusher, breaking the season rushing record held by maybe the greatest RB ever in the history of the NFL, leading the Cowboys back to legitimacy.... and the Cowboys let him walk and then replaced him with DMC. Real bright move Dallas....

That will be the narrative....

We aren't the PATs, Romo isn't Rodgers, Brees, Luck, Peyton..... quote]

At this point, he is better than all of them minus maybe Rodgers.

I do agree---we need a balanced approach but not because Romo can't handle it but because it's just smart football. A lot of the teams you listed would love to be as balanced as us, they just do not have the personel.

Again, no one is suggesting anything close to that is in our future. Not sure where all the panic stems from.

I cant speak for anybody else, but I don't think "Panic" is the best description. Just concern. And its the off season, so its all WAGS.

I tend to focus on the weak spots. I did not expect for the engine of this team last year, to be a top 1 or 2 weak spot.......

And if for any reason the RBBC approach fails, Romo himself will check to more pass attempts. Lineham will slowly lose trust in it, and rely more on the Pass. I dont think it will be something obvious, but as the season moves along, we will slowly but surely inch are way to a pass happy team.

I am not saying it wont work. I think we have a strong team and lots to be excited about. If the D is improved as much as we think it is on paper right now then were even better. I just wouldn't bank on all that.

I would have a bellcow and another one, and I would stuff it right down Seattle's all world Defense and its legion of Boom, to break that spirit and confidence they have going on up there.

Maybe Romo can handle it. Lets just say I don't want to find out!!

A lot of the teams I listed have consistently won Super Bowls and Divisions, in the last 5-10 years...I am sure they are just fine;
