Is Brady doomed by history?

Well....in defense of the Pats....Tom Brady is only 0-1. Those other guys don't even matter to what the Pats do.

I'm guessing the MVPs of those years didn't make a Super Bowl.

Emmitt Smith was the 1st to break a curse. No leading rusher ever won a SB, and he was also the MVP, that year and he and Irvin were the 1st RB / WR that led the leagues in their categories than won a SB.

But yes, I thought that too, those years the MVP did not make the SB.

This is pretty irrelevant.

Philly hasn’t won a championship in the modern day NFL...isn’t that an even bigger trend?

All trends I’ll eventually be broke. Ryan should’ve broke his trend last season. Tom Brady would’ve been MVP last season as well if not for his suspension.

I’m surprised Brady has only won the MVP three times. Thought he won it more times than that. No player in the league is more valuable to their team than he is. If the Pats win tonight they’ll move past the Steelers and 49ers with 6 SB wins.

When teams get up on the pats they get conservative. Why the jags lost and why the falcons lost last year. If Eagles get up on the PATS this trend will be broken.

Are you saying the Eagles won’t be conservative if they get up on the Pats?

When you have Nick Foles and a lead, you have to run the ball and be conservative. I could care less about Foles over the last couple weeks, the guy is not a franchise QB. If you put him against a strategist like Belichick on a two week break, you’re asking for trouble.

If I’m the Eagles, I run the ball or throw short passes 80 percent of the time and play defense. That almost brought the Jags to victory and the Eagles have the tools to run a very similar gameplan. You just got to
trust that your veteran defense can make the plays when it counts.

If the Eagles get a two score lead on the Pats and start playing aggressive knowing Brady is going to come back, Foles will make a mistake. Playing aggressive in that situation is playing scared..trust your defense, run the ball no matter what the scoreboard is.
