The company line that Jerry keeps selling that it is a process is total bull. Here is a list of teams who reached at least reached a conference championship game within the first 3 seasons of hiring a new head coach in the last 30 years.

In this era, you can't afford to be taking more than 3 years to rebuild due to salaries and injuries. When you go in, you gotta go all the way in. Jump in and take your crack at it in a small window. Jerry and his idiot son think they have eternity since their jobs are safe. That's why they will never win a SB on their own. I agree it is a farce.

Jerry talking about patience…what a self-own.

We are starting the fourth decade since winning two playoff games in a row under the same GM talking about patience with rebuilding. Please Jerry.

He’s like the architect of the Titanic saying we need to allow him to build another ship that won’t sink after his previous 30 have hit the same iceberg. It’s the living definition of insanity.

We’re past patience. We’ve into toxic enabling. I wish they could stop home sell outs. That would help.

I can promise...and I do mean promise....we are sniffing ANYTHING with Brian S as the head coach...so at the very least...the clock does not start until we hire the NEXT head coach. We are drawing dead with Schotty!

Hiring a new HC with the worst GM in the NFL at the helm is not doing ish. We've seen that scenario play out multiple times.

For sure...but I am just being honest about what I know already. Schotty is trying to learn HOW to coach...under the glare of the Dallas Cowboys...AND call plays at the same time. He is way in over his head with this many hats to wear. Not to mention a brand new young defensive coordinator. It is a schmitt show in Dallas as far as coaching is concerned.

Well done.

About the only contrary response I have: Did those teams have a none-NFL GM who consistently made bad draft picks and consistently overpaid the wrong players?

There are a ton of factors involved. Basically, this team takes longer to turn it around due to having a bad GM and no core of top players due to bad drafting.

I didn’t get that granular, but most of them were bad teams who fired their coach. A few of them were retirements, but those are rare.

He’s no spring chicken. He’s been in the league as position coach+ since 2001.

Conference championships aren't an important benchmark. That's especially true in the NFL, when teams can fluke their way there.

It's at least a decade long search to find an above average QB. I've been assured of that by some very respected posters here.

.
Bob using the word granular in his explanation is always a good way for us to start the day. Atta boy, Bob.

It's sad that we have relegated ourselves to thinking conference championships mean anything. Truly a sad state of affairs for our fanbase.
